A classic example of "a game of 2 halves". Very warm in the sun and very hotter for Margate through the first 35 minutes as Fav gave us a lesson in football and produced some of the best play I`ve seen this season. But as we know posession and playing totally in your opponents half count for nothing if you can find the net. Fine defence and some outstanding saves kept Margate going but could only build 3 attacks that finished in shots. Then, a quick move, Kyle - Justic who sent Jamie McC on a 30 yd run with the ball to beat the keeper gave the Gate the lead. The half again saw Fav batter the Gates defence.

Second half and things evened with both sides fighting hard saw both keepers in action. As the half rolled on the heat got the better of Margates front line but they played on giving Kyle a good chance to finish the game. Margate showed some good pace which stopped Fav from making too much for a Gate win. Ref was not so good if you were a Fav fan and ok if you were a Gate. Our linesman was very stactic and missed several clear off sides. Cruel for Fav, a big boost for us.

Hi B P, I have a 2 DVD set v Holmesdale and some photo`s of the Folkestone game for you. I do not know who is playing in u18s Sunday but will call at MFC ground at 9 and hope you are there. No Jamie as he is getting the crap shifts at work, Saturdays and Sundays.
