The Colts beat Ilford today 6 0 to further supplement their leadership of the league.

To be honest, the result was never in doubt after Joe Staunton scored the opener on 6 minutes against a team whose kit did not turn up until 15 minutes before the scheduled kick off time.

Nevertheless, our boys were correctly prepared and unfortunately there was some very strong Ilford tackling that could have marred what was a very entertaining afternoon, and very well officiated.

Joe Staunton scored four, the other two coming from Alex Ievoli and Chow Sandhu but it was a romp for the Urchins.

Joe's third was a delight, a free kick just outside the Ilford area, and with the Ilford boys complaining and their keeper running out to remonstrate with the referee, Joe just simply lobbed the whole lot of them.

Bar was open, good crowd, can't wait for the next one.
