An article on the MYFC site by a member who is also part of the Eurostar marketing team states that Feb 19th is the probable final date for the MYFC EUFC deal to be completed. This I think would make Burton the first game after that.

 

I think they are looking for ideas to get lots of publicity for the club, myfc & themsleves.

 

I quote,

 

"My question to you is about raising the profile of the site and the club, how can we get the club on the national news? How can we ensure that on the 19/2 and for subsequent months, the club continues to increase member numbers?"

Yorkfox, I presume that you are a Leicester fan who lives in York.

 

Are you this involved with Leicester City?

If not, why not?

Do you have a season ticket for the Walkers stadium?

 

I just don't get why people want to meddle with the Fleet when they have no ties to the club or the area.

 

Please can you explain it to me?

I was a City regular until I had to move out of Leicester to Yorkshire when I was 21. I then commuted down for a while, and tried on a number of occasions to get back in to going to Filbert St , then The Walkers. But a combination of cost and family situation made it hard to do. £35 a ticket for 3 is a big lump of cash.

 

I joined MYFC to see what it was about, and then that became Ebbsfleet in November. I kind of got quite involved with the MYFC forum board and then things grew. I guess I got hooked by the idea and then the fleet. I must spend 4 hours a day on here, far too much I know, but thats the way it is.

 

I sometimes feel a bit guilty about LCFC, but I was not really part of the club, I had no say in things. Now I feel part of the Fleet.

 

I havent met you in person, I have met DA11 briefly and Brian twice. I guess when I get involved with something, I just want to do it to the best of my ability.

 

So there you are. I now commute twice the distance ! , weird world isnt it.
