Probably Martin Peters. And there is every chance that Edwards would have been England captain as well.

If the crash had not happened at all, England may have fared much better at the World Cup in 58 and 62.

Maybe the whole side would have had a different look about it. Tommy Taylor would have had an influance in the world cups of 1958, 1962 and possibly 1966 (by then 34 years old). There would also have been Rger Byrne. I accept that Bryne may have been too old at 36 years in 1966, but by then history may have shaped a very different National side.
