Question for York fox & doheochai

First of all , this isn't an election statement as I am not standing. I am just a member and anything I know is from the website.

I have no idea what will happen in the future, if I did, I would be buying lottery tickets. I can only judge things on what I believe to be the situation and what I hope for in the future.

Facts are.

28,000 Members at the moment, nobodys membership has yet started, that happens when the deal is complete. I saw Feb 19th mentioned somewhere, but thats not fact.

1,820 Members have joined for more than 1 year. So that should mean about £50,000 guaranteed for year 2 as the money is meant to be ring fenced.

What I believe.

When the kit situation is sorted out and people can buy them, I believe that they will sell in their thousands. This will bring in good amounts of cash, I believe its a 30% royalty to begin with, and the ladies & youth teams get 1 set of strip for each 250 sold.

If a system of programme postal subscription is set up, I think that will go well.

If a club lottery can be worked out, I think that will go well also.

Current sign ups for MYFC are running at around 30 per day. Is that going to stop dead or trickle along in the back ground ? 30 a day is worth about £800 a day in funds.

Pick the team ?. Well I have always been a believer in letting people manage, but I know in this situation, it wont be the case. I have always thought that 95% of the time, the team will nearly pick itself. eg , it would take a big vote against for a player not to be picked. If liam provides good information and lets his wishes be known, then I am sure it will work out in time.

There always has been and probably always will be a great deal of uncertainty in the way this will work out. But football is like that, no team knows it will do well.

From my point of view, I will do my very best to support Ebbsfleet United in person and online. I would love to see every game, but that wont happen. If I get to Kent once a month, I will do well, but I will try and see as many midland & Northern games as possible.

I am sure some will pick the above apart, I could probably do so myself if I was more awake. Its written in good faith. Sometimes what is written on here can be attacked whichever way you read it.

ie WE do well,

"Is that we , myfc or Ebbsfleet " , Dont use We, Why dont you use WE etc.

I try and answer as best I can, I try my best.

See you at Burton Albion on the 23rd. I am trying my best to get as many there as possible on the MYFC board. I have very selfish reasons for that. I have never been to Wembley for a football match , and I want to go with The Fleet.

Well, I don't think I will ever buy that fascistoid kit, that symbol of tyranism and dictatorship. I am sure some of the real fans have an old one to sell.

Apologies for the delay - Been in bed with the flu.

MyFC is an evolving process. It is a learning curve. It will involve making adjustments and ensuring that it works as effectively as possible. We will have to wait and see what needs to be fixed when we see the project in operation and that will only happen when the Society is fully functioning (after the Board is in place). The key priority and the main concern is the year 1 renewals. MyFC needs as many of the current membership and as many new members as possible to sign up next year. Without a membership then MyFC will not be able to be financially sustainable in terms of financially supporting the club.

I agree with doheochai's post above and i think the basic concept of myfc as society is sound enough,my own worry is that what if one of the major attractions ends up being damaging to the club on the pitch,i think you know what i am talking about ,would it be possible to change it with out loosing many members?.

Does the keeping up membership come before the long/short term on the field priorities? I know both are or should be inclusive but i have found that with the club i support up here(heart of midlothian) and its rather erratic owner it is not always possible and its seems even now he has given up his initial way of controlling all things on and off the pitch.

I want the fleet and it follows myfc to work ,but as said we will learn on the way but we need the capacity to change when its needed ,and a most important thing is to turn Myfc people into Fleet people that is the only way to keep them over the longer period.

Ah sure Vlad has been called far worse! A 'good' example of unnecessary meddling...

He sure has some of it brutal, but i am more balanced its good and bad ,but so far there are signs that he is letting the football people run the football side again (and guess what we have won our last 3 games strange that) the off field stuff he is doing very well.

thats why i think we should have the ability to look at and change
any of the concepts of myfc if they are not working.
the clubs interests first.
