can only agree with all the comments so far,a dismal performance! why on earth did betts continue with the system he used today when it was plain even to a blind man it was not working from as early as the third minute, and again if players are missing don't start changing them around just replace them from the reserves keeping regular players in regular positions thus bringing in some consistency of performance, and perhaps he should go for a 3 4 3 formation though anything would be better than today.

worse thing was i think if they had to AFC Hayes could have gone up a few gears

looking for positives erm... enrico seemed to be working hard when he got on

the performance was summed up near the end when we had players standing on the edge of their box clueless as to how to set each other up for a long range shot even

was tuesday and yesterday the death of our season? i have a bad bad feeling it may well have been frown

Guest chris-sliski

yep we all fed up and times are really bad..on the pitch ..its in our hands still...But when we can't do anything about it ...then is the time to give up...not before...

I agree with everthing everyone has said on this subject...if we don't improve ..then the enevitable will happen...

I know in my heart of hearts ..our supporters can lift the team and rally together .. down but not out...(yet) They are not prima donners like some we have had in the past - they showed that last tuesday and they know that they were totally all at sea yesterday and put the worse performance of their lives yesterday we need to sort it...

chin up everyone ..bite the bullet ...we have 12 matches left ..

cheers chris s

Do not despair Brighton rebel the teams that play in the Combined Counties (Goldfish League) in front of one man and presumably his dog, have at least got their own ground and will

give you a warm welcome. I fear that after yesterdays result against Brook House, maskerading as AFC Hayes that is where you are heading.

I'm sure they will give us a warm welcome, but to get relegated to that level is unthinkable because as I understand it, it would seriously affect some of the funding available to us for the stadium. There might not be a club if we go down, so it just can't happen.

Sorry Matt but unthinkable it is not because that is what the Non League Pyramid was set up for. Many teams have hit hard

times and others have prospered Guildford City, Wembley,Dorking,

Epsom & Ewell have all had to take it on the chin and join the Combined Counties, whilst teams like Chipstead, Brook House,(AFC Hayes),Walton Casuals, have moved up the pyramid. Really sorry but as Iam an ex Slough player and supporter you will just have to come to terms with it and move on. I can tell you the Combined Counties is not the end of the world, there are some good teams in it this season. In my opinion many teams in the Ryman South/North and the BGSouth/West would struggle against Merstham,Camberley, Guildford & Cove as confirmed by many Farnborough supporters who on occassions watch a CCL Game

ive always liked the combined counties and yes it has improved a lot over the last few seasons, it is hard for us because our fall is of gigantic proportions, you mentioned guildford, epsom, wembley and dorking and while not disrespecting them you can hardly put us in their league as we were one of the best sides in the conference in our better days and even before that we were always regarded as probably one of the top 6 sides, having said that no team has a right to a certain status and good luck to those teams who have gone up in the world.

can i ask do you play or support a ccl team

Amber I have no intention of disrepecting your past glories but it is a fact of life that one has to move on. I support Camberley

Town and see most their home games and also watch Sandhurst and the occassional Farnborough match. The Non League Pyramid was set up with the sole intention of getting progress for the well run smaller club, providing it can meet the Ground Regulations,

one cannot denigrate any club be it from a small village to a city for being forward thinking and wanting to progress in the

Pyramid. PS. I played for both Slough & Camberley in the 60s so Iam a really old timer now

No disrespect intended Flint; of course that is what is good about the pryamid - no one has the right to play in any league, you have to earn it. But it really would be a fall from grace for us with all the financial implications - from another fall in attendances to a loss of grants for a new ground. It could well spell the end of us.

No one in the Non League game likes to see a team go to the wall, we all have vested interested in our local club which is so right, but it still has to be run on the right lines. I really do wish you all the very best for the rest of the season,

however if you do get relegated to the CCL I can promise you a more than warm welcome to Krooner Park. That is of course if we do not get promoted, it will almost certainly be Merstham.

No its not really clear yet it all depends on what happens in

other step 5 leagues as to how many get the ground grading and in what position they finish in there repective leagues.

Flint700, my point was the same as Brighton Rebel's. No matter how good or bad the standard in the CCL is, there might not be a Slough Town FC if we get relegated to that level anyway. Therefore it is in that respect 'unthinkable' and why we need to stay at this level.

Surely if you do go down to level 5 it should have no bearing whatsover in the likelyhood of your new Stadium being funded, because as you will be returning to Slough I could imagine your gate increasing by at least 50%, if not more.

Please remain optomistic as I sincereley hope you retain your

position, all I am saying is do not lose all hope if you do not.
