Well it was certainly a vastly improved performance from Tuesday game at Leyton Pennant, helped in no short way by a Wingate side that were more than willing to play football and try to make a good game of it. We had some good chances first half and to be fair we possibly could have scored more than just the one. Not too many complains, thought all the lads got on with the job, Woodsy looked good in goal and the defence stuck to their task well. I just have to mention Jamie Southon, what a game, the bloke covers every single inch of the pitch during a game. What a truely excellent signing he has been! Good day all in all, not a bad side at all were Wingate, nice ground and a good, albeit small, bunch of supporters!
