Ok, just for fun

 

So far they have had 3 major votes. The first was to take over Ebbsfleet - already decided by the operators. The second was if Nike would do the strips - already decided by the operator as they failed to find any alternative. The third was to vote on strip designs - Nike have already decided which options go forward with no input from MYFC. So my question is -

 

When Will MYFC Members Get A Vote On Something Which Has Not Already Been Decided?

the dilemma that brooks and his gang have is that they know the philosphy of the wisdom of the crowd doesn't work and they therefore have to steer the herd into agreeing with the decisions thay have autocratically made....

 

this particular skill requires modern day goebell type propoganderists and of course we have a few of those around do we not....they shall be rewarded for their blind loyalty by being given crumbs from the table of greed and averice...(wanchai will chair the new trust board... count on it)

 

but help is at hand and so here's an alternative to the members regarding next years subscriptions.....give them to my new company www.MyCash.Com...

 

I shall shamelessly pocket half of it for having the idea in the first place and the rest can go to the existing trust who along with their manager and a couple of local professional advisors and the fans selected reps can get on with running the club....I shall of course reveal all regarding the finances and they can deal with that as they wish....either let it accumulate and use their own money to fund it or reduce the overheads...I couldn't care a less so long as I get my half......all forums associated with my brilliant idea will be without moderation and I propose that Hirsty becomes new club chairman and given the keys to the bar...

no votes...no goebells imitators...no democracy bollox..no secret carve ups on kits or large DD bills from cronies...no deals with previous shareholders regarding large rental incomes and no property related transactions behind the scenes...we shall do the contract in the shepherd and dog (just off the A127) on a piece of A4....I will agree to never visit ebbsfleet and even agree to stop posting on here as a deal sealer.......(that should swing it) grin

I have read everyone of those mission statements (yeah I know I'm sad) and apart from DA11 I have never read such a load of self serving egotistical bollox since wanchai and I first posted on here... dance grin

Some of them are hilarious to be fair.

 

As I understand it, the board will be responsible for carrying out the decisions of the masses based on the votes that are cast.

 

Who decides the votes and the options is one query I have at the moment?

 

I compared it to Putin's Russian democracy earlier.

 

One thing I will say is that the people who are standing for the board do seem to have the right intentions.

 

I'm just not sure that they have the knowledge and the capabilities to carry it out.

 

I damn well hope that DA11 (and Jessica if she stands) are on the board to give it a bit of sanity.

 

I get the impression that there are lots of separate agendas going on here.

God Brooks could be the best Trade union shop steward that I have seen since the miners strike, and dear old Arthur.

Change the club badge to My Hammer and Sickle,and name to Ebbsfleetgrad,

I have learned many things jeff in my long and chequered career....a lot of it the hard way but there is one thing you can always guarantee and rely on....everyone wants something...and its mostly ego motivated...

only a few are motivated by money believe it or not..

Totaly agreee with this staement. We need a face we all know and trust and who is capable of making a decision based on fact and not rumour. Respect of the fleet faithful and for the fleet fleet faithful is also a pre requisite.

Anyone with these qualitys will get my backing

I agree totally with your sentiments, but like others I feel they will be just figure heads,with very little if any voice, just there to keep the faithful happy, and have them believe they have a real say,It is all clap trap, we all really know it deep down, And no matter how hard they try, most people will end up going along with the others on the Board, or will soon be very quickly voted off.

I see where your coming from Busta and originally this crossed my mind. If I do get the opportunity I will fight tooth and nail to maintain traditions of this club. I will give it my best shot. If my best is not good enough then at least I tried. Without being too sentimental I am third generation of my family to support 'The Fleet' my son will make 4. I just think there is too much to let go of.

I believe it would be a very positive move to have at least one long-standing supporter on the MyFC Board. I think there are two or three such candidates at the moment and I would encourage others to consider standing.
