I'm still have my doubts about whether George is good enough at moment to start at this level (I think he will be in a season or so) but he would certainly have been my choice to come on on Saturday, I was suprised Liam took Bostwick off given I thought we were up against it. My call would have been George for Moore to give us some width which was sadly lacking second half. Having said that I don't think George is an out and out winger but he's the closest we've got.

If George is underused then Liam Coleman is woefully underused. I don't believe for one moment that LC is content with warming the bench as has been suggested. He just needs to be given the chances that others are being afforded ahead of him. He was really on fire against Dartford and as a versatile player his considerable strengths should be better used. The signs are that he is not LDs flavour of the month (or any month for that matter)which is a shame.

We have used the 4-4-2 well lately, but with Akinde's partner, regardless of who he is, playing ineffectively, why not drop one back into attacking midfield?

Purcell or Coleman could be just the players to collect John's flick-ons; both are pacey, skilful and technically good players. Chukki, for all his effort, doesn't seem to quite have the confidence or quickness of mind to be a game-changing player.

I would like to see Luke Moore dropped in place for Purcell/Coleman. This would, as mentioned, provide a better option for Akinde's flick-ons, as well as giving another option when we attack. Instead of the midfield playing the long ball, the ball could be knocked to the attacking midfielder/second striker, who could either run with it, play it down the wings, or play John through. We would have a greater choice of attacking options whilst more effectively retaining possession.
