Exeter Game

Got the score right on our prediction thread and was 100 short on the crowd, suspect the nice weather brought out a few locals rather than a big influx of Myfc.uk.uppers.

Watched you lot take Grays apart NYD so was not expecting an easy ride, not a gloater or a Big Team Bertie, just call em as I see em.

Oh, and can you please keep that know nothing twat Goebbels, aka Dodecaplastic, off our site, obviously any of you real fans are welcome down for some banter anytime, yes even Harry.

Set pieces, especially Stacy's corner kicks were pretty dire, wasted almost all of them. OK result, good crowd, should have had it won by half time, credit to their keeper. Akinde was a handful all afternoon but tired second half....if only we had a plan B......

I know we can't issue seats based on how vocal someone is, but if you don't plan to sing/stand in a game, PLEASE don't sit 10ft away from the drum! It only drives those who would sing away from the drum! And if you are someone who likes to join in, PLEASE come and do so! I seriously believe the crowd can carry the team, and the more of us singing, the better we can be 'the 12th man'.

Well I for the first time decided to sit near the drum and singers and join in with the singing. Well I had a good time in doing that so I will be sitting there most of the time from now on singing as loud as I can. Oh and fantastic attendance it was today so lets hope that we can keep it up.

Which may be enough.

We have got a pretty good run in, all five pub teams at home still to come, whereas I think you have got quite a tough one. Cambridge looked a lot better tonight with Stevenage probably being the most likely to blow it, if they are the only ones then it is you, us, FGR and York going for one spot.

A win today would have made it that bit easier for you, having said that we only just snuck under the wire last season, so who the [****!!****] actually knows anything ?

Certainly not me.

Concensus amonst our boys was that we wuz fortunate to take anything away today, respect to the Marriott apparently, roll on April 26.

Really thought there would of been more pages on the game rather than just 3.

Oh well funny thing happened to me after the game. I was waiting at the bus stop when an Exeter supporters coach went by and can I say how charming they where(Well one of them). I gave a little wave to them and one of them gave me the finger. The coward wouldn't even show his face to me so I gave him the w*nker hand gesture. His mates where ok though.

The home game was 2-2 with Sodje and Smith ® scoring. Edwards and a James Smith own goal for them.

Away we won 3-1 - Charlie got 2 and Luke Moore scored. Challinor scored for them - no doubt by cheating and diving as usual.

I have to say, he is not one of the worst refs we had, but certainly did not like giving free kicks for hand ball, which there were a few.

Nice to see that the defense were able to soak up the pressure when exeter did go on the attack, but unfortunately, could not keep their focus again for the full 90mins, and let exeter back into the game, and so we ended up with a draw.
I have always championed luke moore, but even I now must agree that he must be left out a few games, make him become hungry for goals, john did just this, that's how he made it to the first XI, too many times luke was easily pushed off the ball, keep boswick on, take more off. I would say replace him with coleman, but he seems quite content to warm the bench at the moment.

Scoring goals is a major concern. We have the worst record of the title contenders. The problem is who do you select out of the present squad.

Nade:Had serious doubts from the beginning,it was like

playing with 10 men with him in the side

Eribenne:Looked as though he could do the job of scoring, but rarely does.

Moore:Technically sound,but lightweight,lost his form at present.Highly regarded by L.D.

So who to put alongside Akinde. Some one who has excellent ball control,is pretty nippy, and plays the ball on the ground: LIAM COLEMAN.

Nade and Eribenne had a chance to shine in the KSC game against Dartford. In my opinion , Nade failed to take his chance of a competant display and is not suitable for The Fleet. Eribenne though got involved and was my MOM in that game.

Moore does show sparks of genius but his atitude does let him down at times. If he keeps plodding away with his game ( i think he is better behind a front 2) it will come right for him.

Eribenne looks like he is intrested again but when coming on against Exeter , should have made more runs and got more involved.

Akinde-------Looks like he loves to play , always running , never gives up a lost cause. Could have pushed McPhee and Sacha for player of the season if he had been a regular from August.

So to answer the question. I would start Chuckie and John with luke just behind them.

How about someone who has excellent ball control, is pretty nippy, and plays the ball on the ground but is also a forward and scores goals: George Purcell.

If only for this:

I see a bloke called Denzel on their forum giving it large with the usual 'how dare we draw with Ebbsfleet, they're rubbish and we should be beating them' nonsense.

God, I so hope Exeter are still here AGAIN next season.
