Our travelling support will be the usual 300 for a game up Lundin way, maybe inflated by a few who might have spotted our run into play off contention.

Six pointer for you, a draw would probably do us, we have played Cambridge and Stevenage in the last week or so and having beaten both relatively easily would fancy our chances of finishing above both, you really need to keep your run going as an eight point deficit at this stage, with your ongoing commitments, might be a bit hard to manage.

Nice to see a non Myfc.uk.up thread, I still don't get it, well I get the scam, I just don't see the punter interest, 35 quid to sign up for a forum where you can talk [****!!****] about something you will never understand, Shirley such things are free.

Ah ha....signs of life !!

Let's just see what the result is a before you give it the big gob ! Give it large if you win.....but shut the f*ck up if you don't.....

Aston Villa v. Newcastle at lunchtime.
Don't think that will cause too many problems.
See here for other matches.

Nice weather today, Charlton played last night, Spurs are Away, Arsenal playing tomorrow, don't think many go to West Ham (Home to Birmingham ?), so maybe 1,500 !?

Exeter, as Poultice said, took around 300. Which means 1300 Fleet fans! The car park idea must have worked a treat.

Today...

On the pitch, I don't think we were our best. In the first half, we were playing incisive and clever balls, whilst pressuring Exeter and forcing them to go long. James Smith tidied up very well in the air today whilst Ricko and Sacha especially made sure of anything down the wings. The midfield relied too much on the long ball to John Akinde. Big John is brilliant but he isn't Superman (yet!). His workrate is phenomenal but he lost his legs after around 70 minutes today after being so overworked from hopeful balls forward. Chris McPhee looked creative when pushing forward. If we had been more patient, and played into space rather than trying desperately to pump the ball forward, we would have had a greater control of the game.

Luke Moore, unfortunately, still looks lightweight. This could easily be countered by effort and movement, but today he seemed to lack this too. He is a talented player, but I would like to see him making himself more available, chasing the loose balls down harder, and being a little more creative when given the ball.

Sacha/John Akinde were my MOTMs.

1617 and 1300 Fleet fans is excellent. We are now seeing that there is support for us out there. Now we must keep it. Despite such a large crowd, the Plough End was too quiet. There is a small hardcore around the drum who try to keep it going, but there are too many people around the drum who won't sing. I know we can't issue seats based on how vocal someone is, but if you don't plan to sing/stand in a game, PLEASE don't sit 10ft away from the drum! It only drives those who would sing away from the drum! And if you are someone who likes to join in, PLEASE come and do so! I seriously believe the crowd can carry the team, and the more of us singing, the better we can be 'the 12th man'.

I heard some fans travelled from Australia today- well done to whoever they were.

Good point about people near the drum who don't sing KShep.

I thought a draw was the fair result today.

If we had started the second half better, we might have had it.

Pics to go up on Facebook soon.

The last 20 minutes were agony as I was crying out for eyedrops.

Couldn't really watch it and had to rely on commenmtary from the people I was with.

Damn eye infections and bright sunshine.

Not sure if this is the correct thread, but vote; in no particular order; Barda EUFC, DA11 and Dave's Nan (referred to as Dave's Nun on one or two MyFC forums, so perhaps known as Sister Slarti from now on??) for MyFC Board membership! Apols for nominating anybody who doesn't know/care about it yet..

Exeter's very experienced 'keeper Marriott kept them in the game during the first half pulling off some excellent saves. Plus he had good luck on his side when Long's shot hit the post and hit the 'keeper on his back, then hit the post again before going out for a corner. Why the City fans complained so much about the decision to award a corner is a mystery.

Sacha was immense today & thorougly deserved his Fleet MOM.

Thought we should have won today - their keeper made several good saves 1st half and Stacy really should have hit the target at least with his efort early on.

Even when Exeter had far more of the ball second half, I cant think of any saves Lance had other than a couple of efforts late on and we had probably the best chance of the half with Akinde's first touch past the keeper being too strong.

I also thought we should have had a clear second penalty at 1-0 when McPhee chested the ball down the edge of the box and was promptly flattened from behind. Perhaps the ref was having doubts over the 1st penalty and was trying to balance it up?

Barring gout, work commitments and lack of access to Rupert Murdoch's PIN number there would have been one more.
I've read the whole thread and still can't work out the score...1-1 draw?
