No real surprise then from the other results. Another draw snatched from the jaws of victory......If anybody wonders why we're six points behind Hornchurch tonight think Barton, think Hemel and think today.

No complaints about their penalty, though lots of complaints about the referee in general. Turned down a perfectly good penalty claim for us and I'm not sure where the injury time came from at the end. Not even the second comedy own goal of the week could help us. Five games left, miracles required

We have blown it.

 

The number of late/last minute goals we have conceded is scandalous. Is it fitness, is it lack of concentration, is it because they are brainless or tacticly clueless? Who knows and frankly who cares they have let us down.

 

The tone was set at the very start of the season when we conceded a last minute equaliser to Hornchurch.

 

At least a win today would have kept the pressure on. We have had our miracle for the season two back to back comedy own goals helping us out.

 

A result that only pleases Hornchurch, cue uncle for some rambling glee........

Gutted by the last minute equaliser, but in many ways we were lucky to be in the lead as it was not a good performance---the passing was extremely poor. 2 wins from the last 9 matches--not exactly promotion form, but we only have ourselves to blame.

Fair enough unc, it is our own fault. Had we won all the games we should have won this season: you lot at home, Barton (a), Hemel (a), Uxbridge (h), Oxford City (a) we would have been four points clear of you lot. And that is to name but a few. It was in our hands but we have let it slip. The fat lady has sung.

 

I am prepared to concede the second spot to your boys and well done to you. You had a major blip not so long ago but have turned it around. Probably something to do with having a half decent manager. Good luck in the prem, cause havoc and do not forget to pay as a visit if we are still around.
