Angels "on loan" striker in readiness for Margate

It's definitely the case Cookie that the management team do get up a few players noses over there, and that combined with lack of games for Phillips has probably resulted in a fall out and a transfer request.

My take on Ramsgate - for what it's worth - is that the purse strings are being tightened given an increasing reluctance from the chairman to continue to singal handidly finance the club. Understandable given that Ram's attendances - like others in the division - haven't been doing as well as they might have expected. Particularly strange iven they have spent pretty much all season in the play off positions.

Just my own thoughts, but I think the situation is entirely consistent with players apparently being pulled out of Sunday league football and into the first team squad (I'm sure someone will coreect me if that's a wrong assumption), other players being released or transfered.

It begs the question for me, can Ramsgate afford to get promoted? And my follow on question is given that scenario, will Jim Ward still be manager at Ramsgate next season?

Ramsgate are actively looking for new directors, who if they accept then pay £5000 a year for the honour.

So provisions are being made to help the club and therefore not having to dip into the chairmans pocket so much. This gives them more spending power, but still nothing like the other 'larger' clubs.
