Todays Paper

For the exiles, in todays paper Trotty expects a scrap tomorrow at Tonbridge. As Rob is suspended they have been concentrating on patterns of play in training this week.

Interestingly Trotty also says one player who came on Saturday really let him down, will he be invoved on Saturday, he won't even answer his phone. Soon see tomorrow who isn't on the bench.

Also states that Luke Coleman is continuing his recovery and could be allowed home from hospital today, good news for Luke.

I think we can all hazzard a guess as to who the player is.However there were a few more players out there on Saturday who let Trotty down on the day too.

Why don't we get information from the Club about these players surely it must be pretty simple to state whether they are still with the club are injured or whatever, I find the communication although improved is still very limited

Changing subjects for a moment the local also gives a mention to an ex player of ours(& Ramsgate) who sadly died recently, aged 87.

It may have been a while ago but I thought it might be nice to acknowledge Joe "Nobby" Clarke's time with our club. He was a member of the 1948 side that did the "treble", winning the Kent League Championship,Kent League Cup & the Kent Senior Shield.A sad loss of one of our earlier day heroes. Condolences to his family.

Thanks to Jeff Trice's fabulous history site, below is a run down of Joe's time here at Margate FC. History makes sure players of this club are never forgotten.Thank you Jeff & thank you "Nobby".

If it is Quain then I would be surprised. As you said he scored in the Ursuline game so if he had already played 90 minutes then it was a very big ask, even at his age.

You haven't got a clue as to what Trotty has said or done,if at all, have you? So hold fire eh?

Anyway for a player to have played in the morning & expect to perform in the afternoon in a league such as this & to the best of his ability would have me riled too. Wouldn't you if you were his boss?. He can blame no-one but himself.

However,I'm sure he will get a reprieve & learn from it. He's a decent up & coming player & we haven't seen the best of him yet. Everything I'm sure will be fine between them.
