I just hope it doesnt have a knock on to lower levels as the dug outs wont be big enough !(seriously, though, lower level teams probably wont have the squads for this).

As long as only three can be used, not much. Unless with a 1-0 lead with ten minutes left, you bring on three defenders, if you haven't already used any!

Bigger benches= a show of strength in depth. The clubs with the financial might will now be able to flood their bench with even more talent, whilst resources of smaller clubs will be stretched. I think it'll create a bigger gulf between the Big Four. And it doesn't seem to actually serve a purpose.

5 subs, manager, asst and physio

 

now it needs to have 10...

 

8 units increasing to 10 units, as a fraction...

 

1/5 extra ?

You have to be able to accomodate 11 to get a Grade B ground rating:

I think from memory that Grade A is 13 but we shall have to wait for the new details to be published

It won't be long before they change the rules along the lines of American Football. Change all eleven players to a defense when the opposing team get a corner and vice versa when the attacking team get a corner.

 

This is right up there alongside playing matches abroad, bringing in pitchside TV replays for all contentious situations and kick-ins instead of throw ins...plain bloody daft!

Might need a more populated bench given the mooted overseas games which will involve double headers to make it economical.

Throw in interchange , play the game in quarters and get a point for missing and you have handsfree Aussie Rules.

This playing abroad rubbish - I saw they proposed upping the games by one to 39 a season for this extra "foreign game"... so how are they deciding who meets who in this 'other game'...?

They will be "drawn" against each other and the top six will be seeded. How they'll work out who the top six are I'll never know. Previous season's standings, whoever are the top six at the time of the draw, some sort of vote, average over the last 5 years?

 

Some of what their fans have been saying though is bizarre. Your clubs stopped caring about you years ago, don't start mouthing off now, you're perfectly happy to be f-ing off other clubs as long as it didn't affect (there’s one for Sarah-Jayne) you.
