Totally disagree. Yes it was 12-0, but international football, a full-week's full-time training, representing your country and playing in front of 12,000 people. Think it will have done our boys the power of good.

can see why it would be a tad demoralising for them but to say they have played in the world cup is something dreams are made off even if it is such an early stage

It looks a harsh scoreline but not wholly unexpected when you're mixing amateur players from the island with players in the lower reaches of the semi-pro/amateur leagues in England, and putting them up against a very experienced El Salvador side with professional players in many different countries.

 

I agree with Chris, the players would have learnt a lot, and will learn more in the return leg to come.

 

Well done to them all - I wasn't expecting all three of our players to go straight into the first team.

 

We now have 4 full internationals in our squad... we're going the way of Arsenal and all the others, no good for the English national team I tell you...
