Midfield on saturday

Will Dean be fit for saturday.

No chance of this happening, but as posted before, i'd love to see RT abandon the idea of 2 wide players and play 3 battling midfield players and just one wide polayer.

Whilst not there last saturday, reading between the lines, it does seem to me that we are not controlling games by really winning the midfiled. With 2 midfield players only(and JJ is not a proper midfielder anyway)you will never gain real control and most of the possession.

Got to play the percentage stuff.

RT's theory of getting crosses in is great, but it relies on your wide players being able to deliver, and then your forwards converting-two areas of breakdown. You get more goal chances simply by gaining more possession in the first place.

Whilst you have got wide midfield players-you leave a big hole through the middle where most of the play goes and you do not have effective use of all 10 outfield players.

I particularly would like to see Morris out there to bring some energy to midfield

I'd like to see a midfield four of:

Martin,Morris,Mckimm,Standen.

Let Standen,Mckimm and morris win us plenty of possession in the first place

How far off is Yianni-mid Feb was advocated about 2 months ago

Similarly-Dan Young was out for 4-6 weeks-6 weeks is up this weekend .Maybe soon, we can see Young paired with Goodfellow releasing Jay back to midfield.
