I question for Arsenal/ England fans

This is a question only for the fans of arsenal/ England, how does it feel to support a club and your country and have none of your own players playing I think it’s a joke that a so called big club like arsenal don’t have at least one of the best English players in there team, and look you saw a spurs player put your country in front that made me smile that a good player like jeans who players for my great team spurs score for England not an arsenal player in sight, and I STRESS this is only a question for the fans that support both Arsenal /England because I no some arsenal fans don’t give a shiit about England so this is not a question for those who do not support England and this is not a dig just would like to know how the real fans think.

I want England to win but im not gonna lose sleep over not having an Arsenal player in the team. As long as Arsenal are successful i couldnt care where our players come from . They play for the shirt and they love the club , thats all that matters to me .

I'd rather Arsenal win a game then England win the World Cup to be fair. I don't really give two s**ts about England after all the hype, prime donna's, WAGS, etc etc.

That’s fair a nuff mate but u must admit it would be nice to have at least one English player in the squad no, because arsenal could be a French team because the only part of them that is English is that there based here, and im not knocking what u lot have won but come on there has to be at least some English players in the team, arsenal are the only so called big club in the world that don’t have one of there own playing for them if u look at the big clubs like man u , Chelsea, real m, barc, milan and etc they have one of there own country men that’s all im saying, but I just don’t think arsenal could afford the best English players so they go for the cheaper option and get a young player from over sea give him a couple of quid.

well to be honest , the stand out player from last night was a product of the Arsenal youth academy , David Bentley . We have nurtured these lads(pennant is another, andy cole was another) etc etc . Its not Bentleys fault we had Dennis Bergkamp and so he moved on to Blackburn . I dont neccessarily think in any case that Bentley would get in Arsenals team , but just cos we havent got a player in the team doesnt mean we had nothing to do with these boys getting to this level . We bought Upson when he was an unknown , now he is playing for england. We brought Ashley cole right the way through the ranks, he played last night . Walcott is 18 , give him 5 years and he will be at the level. Wenger has done more for the England team than people think.

That is not true i think Mark Hughes should get all the credit for D Bentley, and upon was playing every week before u bought him so u can’t take credit for that one Andy Cole was not even heard of at arsenal the only thing he was remembered for was nicking Tony Adams wallet. Ashley Cole ur right that is all down to wenger il give u that one but he is now playing for a bigger and better club would u not agree u cant talk about in the past or what u did years ago im just stating when was the last time u had a top English player apart from Ashley Cole playing for u and don’t say sol Campbell because u know spurs made him.

As a follower of England Home and Away, I will put in my view into the hat! Its waffle and boring but my views!

 

I think it is sad that the big four do not boast more players in the England Squad. We had a debate on this on the forum after the England loss to Croatia! All opinions and valid points!

 

My personal problem with it is our players are not playing enough top level competitive football (i.e Champions league) as the big 4 do not boast many England players. Take last nights side for instance.....Im not having a dig at these players as they are all decent but players like Bentley, Upson, James, Jenas, Barry do not play in the Champions league and only Jenas/Bentley play in Uefa Cup!

 

Sureley our players need the experience of playing in European competitions at intimidating grounds around Europe where the conditions and fans are borderline scary! Playing in the premiership in nicey nicey stadiums full of kids, women and suits will not prepare a player going to a hostile ground in a Moscow/Warsaw/Zagreb/Istanbul atmosphere!

 

You play in the premiership, your protected, people can bearley swear let alone light firecrackers and produce an intimidating atmosphere of hatred etc. This is why International football, ecspecially away games see the top Nations slip up!

 

For instance....England Goalkeepers! Not a Single English Goalkeeper plays in Europe (Robbo dropped) the Big 4 have foreign keepers!

 

Forwards....The big four boast Rooney, Crouch as the English playing forwards, the rest are foreign!

 

Personally, I think its sad that Arsenal do not boast a single Englishmen! I think even sadder that the fans dont care about that fact!

the whole fact of the matter is English players arent good enough . If they were then the big 4 would be clamouring to buy them . The fact is when a decent english player comes along the club who owns them wants stupid money for them. Take Arsenal . Looking for a right back , we go after Richards and the prices are quoted at 20-30 million , so we go and Buy Sagna for 6mil and the bloke has been a revelation.

The Prices are a definate killer Trenks.....its so sad! I mean is Richard worth £20-£25 million.....No he is`nt! But I would like to see a rule like the olde days wher x amount of players need to be English/British per side, even if it was just 4/5, that way, clubs and Nations keep their identities!

 

I just worry that I`ll never get to see England win a Competition, cause at the end of the day, as much as someone loves their club before country...think how mad and ecstatic the country gets when England win in a World Cup or European Championship....nothing compares to that! The Whole country is buzzing...well expect the Poles, Turks, Kosovans, whatever else we have here at the moment ha ha!

 

P.S I hate Ashley Cole too, he cant even get in the Chelsea side cause he is poo! Arrogant, flash little cheating gob-[****!!****]! I hurled pure abuse at him last night...I got in yours aswell son!
