Just been over the Slop Box (they call it lurking...LOL - I dare say they will be doing the same but hey ho, those that accuse - usually do themselves)...

 

Anyway...Apparently, some prefer that we go up instead of AFC Wimbledon because we don't have the same ambitions as Chelmsford, who have, by all sense and purposes, have won the Conny South all ready. laugh

 

Ahhhhhh...They make me smile, at times.

To be fair i like it that some of them would like us to go up. I take that as a compliment that (deep down) everyone loves the derby games etc. As for AFC providing a larger threat to them "if" they both went up...Not sure...Lets face it Havant, Bromley,Braintree have all proved strong units aswell as a number of others. I do not think that just because certain clubs may have much bigger budgets (presumably based on the old "ive gotta bigger car than you scenario") smile etc they can be classed as a bigger threat.

 

Look at Connie national as example...Oxford Utd last season had crowds of 6/7,000 but could not stop the likes of Daggers.

 

Anyway, i would miss the likes of BC trundling over here to have a bit of a laff with wink

Should we get promoted this, or any other season, and I had a choice,, then I would prefer to meet Chelmo in that division. Lets face it, we love the rivalry,our recent game Vs Don's was just another game, but our encounters Vs Chelmo are more than just a game.

 

There will be some, form both sides, that think they would prefer to see One or t'other relegated, but that kind of comment just goes to show how deep the rivalry goes.

 

 

Nothing in football, on the Day, compares to a local derby.

Quite right TC - the rivalry between the Clarets and your goodselves is second to none in this league, and it would be superb if it could continue in the Connie South next season IF we both go up.

BTW Keith, have no fear, I would still "trundle" over here whatever leagues we are both in next season - wouldn't want to miss Gazza's "pleasantries" for the world!

Personally I have always been consistent in enjoying the Derbies. Sorry, but we haven't had a match like Riccay v's CCFC from a fans point of view. Many games have been disapointing TBH.

 

So, I'll be routing for a Riccay promotion regardless of the Chelmo haters on here.....

Maybe Margate/Ramsgate is on a par. I always look forward to the derby game with Chelmsford although TBPH I think the quality of the last couple has been a bit disappointing - but perhaps that's because the results have gone against us, I don't know...

 

If we are playing Chelmsford in a league derby next season then I'll be absolutely ecstatic.......

Localfan, don't really hate the chelmos, just like the banter and the wind ups between us, if the blues don't make it i shall miss the derbies between us always looked forward to them, never mind we will just wait and see. ps i bet when your promoted , you'ill be telling us how wonderful it is in the next league, keep it coming . chainsawBlue fan.
