snippits from the Horsham message board

Recommended Posts

HORSHAM manager John Maggs was not happy with the manner of his sides's defeat on Tuesday night. A single goal defeat at Billericay Town is not too bad a result but the Hornets did not perform.

Maggs fumed: "To be honest I don't mind coming here and getting beat if we do the job and put in a performance, I haven't got a problem with that. But the manner at which we've got beaten here tonight is not acceptable to me. Their keeper hasn't had to make a save all night - not one save has he had to make from us. The result looks tight, 1-0, we could have been brilliant and got beaten 1-0, but they were always the better side and we've got to live with it. But we've got to pull our act together if we are going to maintain a challenge."

Who?

I suspect we were tactically out manoeuvred; their back four pushed up, midfield pressed, no time to play the ball – not unexpected of a competent side at home.

Just got in from the game, waste of time taking camera, we never got anywhere near scoring. I think their goalie only touched the ball 3 times in the 2nd half. Very windy in 1st half, we didn't control the ball at all, midfield were non-existent. I"m afraid we were completely outplayed even though they probably only missed a couple of chances, somehow 1-0 flattered us. New boys put on in 2nd half were no better, Ward quick but didn't gel (not his fault of course, it seemed the whole team were struggling to string 3 passes together).

Point is, we"ve got quite a few tough games like this ahead of us, so something better be done. Jacob got booked so he might be near a suspension?

PF...AFC WImbledon are a bigger club than Chelmsford...FACT.

A good enough reason, I suppose for you to do what you did to Romford. Up sticks, cross the river and support them....

...that will do us all a favour. Essex will be all the better with out you [****!!****] around.

Actually...would you wish Foster on AFC Wimbledon? [****!!****], YES!!!
