So, MyFC now have a self appointed Society Board, made up , no doubt, of Will Brooks and his chums.

Also of no doubt is they will be getting some renumeration for their efforts.

It does seem a little undemocratic, and lends credibilty to the suspicions of those Fleet fans who have reservations over the whole thing.

I applaud any move that would take the Fleet forward, but not at the expense of alienating the fans that have been going for years. First Myfc are going to pick the team(and enough has been said about the stupidity of that move, and ignored or glossed over by Hanoi Hannah),then three classes of shares are going to be issued, making the real fans second or third class fans. Makes me wonder if Willie based this idea on the Victorian Age Railways. Next, let's change the kit(again). Now a Sportswear Manufacturer sweeps in with a "swoosh",(described by human rights movements as the "Swooshstika"),after Nike's(and I know they aren't the only ones)appaling human rights record, and takes over the Trust shop.
What's next, close down the Trust, because that would give fans a lawful way of voicing their discontent?

Completely agree. Apparently it was set up like that to stop a lot of spam being generated (so it just gets set up as a thread instead smile )

Seeing the average age is 27, I wonder how many 12 year-olds are on there posting rubbish and wanting to be friends...


I think they chose the wrong software to run the forum altogether. There's a lot useful functionality missing.

As a website, I think it could be improved no end. Both in general functionality as well as look and feel.

 

For example, this morning, I have only just found out how you start a new topic on the forum and I needed to ask someone how to do that.

Not sure where you're coming from on that Gary?
The current situation that the members who want to stand for the Board are posting statements giving their views/background etc. Then there will be a vote. I don't see how it can be manipulated so that all Will Brooks' chums get on there, unless something illegal is going on. Is that what you're implying?


Edit:
I forgot to mention, the majority of people who have so far declared themselves as candidates have stated they won't accept any remuneration for doing the job.

No CG they are in the process of electing a board for the MyFC Trust. Will wont be standing for that. It looks like the real power will remain with the EUFC Ltd board on which (by their constitution/agreement with the trust) I believe a seat is reserved fo a member of MyFC Ltd. Its been stated that the current directors (all ?) will remain but in a non-exec capacity (for advice and continuity) so who the new/other excutive directors will be and how they will come by their posts doesn't yet appear to be adressed or if it has, publicised.

HMMM, this all sounds very dodgy and below board.
Perish the thought of anything illegal in this, but I would be very interested in the make of the board, ie, financial experience and qualifications, experience at boardroom level, experience and running a real football club.
Winning the European cup in Championship Manager 2006 does nor count.
