How many fans do you think we can get to Burton ?

I know I'm going to be struck by lightning now because I'm usually the curmudgeon, but in this situation I have a hard time understanding the resentment expressed to anyone who wants to support the club, even if it's only for big fixtures.

Because, if it means they will get tickets(for a big cup match)before people who turn up week in week out, then you can't blame people for showing resentment.

But once again, Les, you choose to quote something out of context rather than take in the whole discussion. Kind of like your tirade about the share ownership.

You're entitled to any opinion you want to hold about MyFC, obviously, but it would be nice if once in a while you actually dealt with a fact rather than a misrepresentation. Go back and re-read the purchase announcement. Nowhere does it say that MyFC wants to or will buy 100% of the shares. There's some kind of agreement that is supposed to allow for that option, but I frankly don't see the point.

As for the tickets to "big fixtures," do I really need to quote the entire discussion again? Your conspiracy theory doesn't make it a reality.

Just read David's explanation of the options current shareholders are faced with. He knows far more about the details than I claim to.

As I said, the possibility exists of acquiring 100% of the shares, but MyFC isn't anxious for it to occur or not to occur. Our primary goal, stated from the beginning, was to acquire a minimum of 51% so we could implement the MyFC model. That's happened. The rest is up to the current shareholders to sell or keep as they see fit.

But I'm sure there's some deep conspiracy lurking. It's not like Will Brooks and company haven't done exactly what they've said they would do from day one--negotiate a purchase deal on behalf of the MyFC Society members and then put the mechanism in place for MyFC to select its own board and begin running the club.

Whether you approve of the deal or not isn't my concern. Rail all you like. But sooner or later, won't your head get sore beating it against a brick wall of your own mischaracterizations? Maybe it's because I'm ill and tired, but it gets OLD reading the same paranoia post after post. I'd much rather learn something from you about the players, or non-league football. But if you think running down MyFC ad nauseum is in the best interests of the Fleet, by all means carry on.

Don't worry.......I will!

As for hitting my head against the wall..........The wall is starting to show cracks, that other people(members at that), are starting to notice!

Giving you advice on the players? I have the common sense to know I can't pass judgement on players I have never seen, unlike 27,000 other people!

David, do you know why the Supporters Trust were deemed or elected to be "principle shareholders" and include their shares in the option.

I think that the "Principal Shareholders" were simply the large shareholders that the board could persuade to vote with them.

It certainly wasn't based on the shareholdings as on of the holders listed has fewer share than me.

Oddly enough, I wasn't asked.

Thanks, I am neither a shareholder nor a trust member but I have been considering joining the trust. It seems, however, from what you say (and their initial unequivocal support of the deal) that they have forgone the independent stance that I hoped they would try and maintain in all this.

Does your Adherence thingy protect your shares from compulsory purchase if such a thing exists (86% ?).

I noticed you said in the Plough End. I do my bit as away games when it's needed more.grin And it's only been three or four games when I've not been as noisy.
I shall make just as much noise as I did at Weymouth last week, and we will all miss you, Mr. Beautiful!....But I won't beat myself up lol. I'm sure Scott will keep his drum going, we'll do you proud grin

As far as I know, the only comulsory purchase rule that exists is a stock exchange rule and therefore only applies to listed companies.

David, your subsequent answer to WW and my googled understanding of a Deed of Adherence would indicate the opposite.

I know what you're saying and I certainly agree with the principle of it. However, it's not necessarily easy to define when you become a supporter of a club. I was taken to Carrow Road as a 9 year old and judge my support from then. This year I took my 6 year old daughter to her first match and I would be gutted if we got to the play-offs or a big match and she couldn't come with me. I also recently bumped into a Norwich fan in his early 60's who only became a fan when he moved up to Norfolk about 10 years ago. I think there is difficulty making it a static position whereby you deserve a ticket more because you're 52 and been coming regularly since you were 9 or you're 6 but attended every game in your first season. I don't know the answer. arrr

Either of them would deserve a ticket over someone who paid £35 to join an internet forum!

I would also include Fleet Trust members in the list before everyone else. And maybe reduce the entry tickets to about 7 (I haven't kept any of mine yet!)
