I have a season ticket too.....I suppose that doesn't make me a real fan either ? as I don't pay cash at the gate !!

I haven't told you anything at all Hirsty - if you see it that way then I apologise for not making myself clearer... The whole ideal of MyFC is about giving football back to the real fans, yet the ticketing situation COULD deem it necessary to think about the MyFC "owners"/shareholders (call them what you will) requirements

And the 'season ticket/not real fan' line - surely you can do better!

I seem to remember reading somewhere; "Within three years Myfc would own 100%of the shares!".......What chance then of anyone else getting tickets?

I'll be making the Burton Albion match, a chance to see our team progress the furthest they've ever been in the FA Trophy. As usual, Scott the Drummer and Ian are going, and so is Hannah. [Yes, Kayne, she's taken your place whilst you're shacked up in New York grin]

I remember the quarter-final tie at Northwich last year, a long journey up, I had the flu and we lose 3-0. Let's see if we can go and beat Nigel Clough's Burton, and I believe we can.

Up the Fleet!

The point I was (badly) making was that the 'normal' pay-weekly fan doesn't matter? If there are 400 (someone else suggested this figure) season ticket holders, then the 600+ who for whatever reason dont have a season ticket - the MAJORITY of the gate - don't really matter...

And AFF - that 100% thing bothers me - I can't really see Hirsty and others selling willingly. And how do they cope with the Fleet Trust??

This is it. When they started it was 100% of the shares, then it was 100% but excluding the Supporters trust shares, but if people aren't willing to sell, as I'm sure there are some that won't they'll never get that 100% or are they going to force the true fans to sell them? Are they able to do that? Doesn't that negate the whole football for the fans doctrine?

Hopefully we can get over a hundred there, maybe even two hundred.

Last season's quarter final saw us take about sixty to Northwich and although that was with the infamous "second mini bus" that was run unofficially and only made two trips all last season and none so far this season I sill thank we have more chance of beating it.

We're taking a coach this time, Burton is closer to us than Northwich and we have hopefully a lot of MyFC people celebrating owning the new club.

That place is on loan to you Hannah. Treat it with respect and love. I expect it in the same condition when I get back or you won't be able to have it again!

As for you Kev, you have some making up to do in terms of your lack of noise in the Plough End this year wink So make twice the noise, some for me, and don't beat yourself up too much that I won't be there tongue. Honestly mate, make sure Scott does not stop hitting his drum!

I know I'm going to be struck by lightning now because I'm usually the curmudgeon, but in this situation I have a hard time understanding the resentment expressed to anyone who wants to support the club, even if it's only for big fixtures.

Totally agree!

Because, if it means they will get tickets(for a big cup match)before people who turn up week in week out, then you can't blame people for showing resentment.

Allow me to try to explain

The principal Judas's shareholders have granted a call option to MyFC which means that MyFC can purchase their B shares for 20.87197 pence per share at any time up to 5 years after the takeover. (After that date the option lapses) Those that have already entered into this option account for 90.12% of the existing shares.

The rest of us plebs are being invited to join in by signing a Deed of Adherence. If any individual does not join in this option then MyFC will not be able to get their shares.

Now in the real world, if you grant someone a call option, you would expect to be paid something for the granting of the option, but the tight bastards at MyFC expect the option to be given to them gratis.

Now the position of the Trust is somewhat ambigous. They are one of the "principal shareholders", and as such have joined in the option package, so that have in fact committed their shares to MyFC, and should MyFc decide to enforce the option then their shares will end up in the hands of Mr Brooks and his merry men. (Any verbal agreement is of course not worth the paper it is written on)

So unless the trust have a written guarantee that the option on their shares will not be excercised, then for the next 5 years there will be no certianty as to the status of their shares.

There is also to be an option which will entitle the existing shareholders to acquire the club's shares in Fleet Leisure and Fleet Group Development Ltd at a price of 0.00001p per share. The timing of this option is unclear to me.
