How many fans do you think we can get to Burton ?

Scenario for you then rsheard... By an amazing combination of skill and luck, Fleet manage to reach 3rd round of FA Cup. They draw a big Prem league side, say Liverpool, Man Utd - at home. That would mean about 3000, maybe 3,500 tickets available for 'home' fans.

Would you not resent it if you didn't get a ticket, if all you ever did was go to the occasional league game?

There is no problem with people who want to fully support the club, but I'd be worried about people who are only interested in the "big fixtures".

What if we made it to the trophy final? Would all the MyFC members expect to get a ticket now they "own" the club instead of the local supporters who go to every game?

With MyFC in charge, are they going to put their members first, or the supporters who actually go to the ground each week?

I for one would be seriously pissed off if I missed out on a ticket to something big so that a MyFC member who was only interested in "big fixtures" could go. And yes, it is a possibility once MyFC take over control. They need people to sign up next year.

Ignore the loyal 1200 or so at your peril, it's no good having £35 from 28,000 members once a year if you drive us away and the ground is empty each week!!

I echo everything that has been said here.

If we do make the final of the FA Trophy and I couldn't get a ticket because Doris MyFC from Swansea was going, I would be livid.

Obviously, this wouldn't happen as we are all a bit cleverer than that but this needs to be said.

This is OUR club, not MyFC's. You all need to remember that. It seems that most people don't.

I would suggest you say This is OUR club meaning not only of MYFC members but also of those supporters who are not MYFC members. I am pretty sure that even after not continuing the subscription to MYFC some ex members would still be attending the games. Because of the things I have said in my post in an another thread, I like EUFC more than I like MYFC.
The only rule for the tickets can be season tickets first, and after that first come first served.

I have no issue at all with people who come through the turnstyle to watch the Fleet.

It's the people who sit there in Sweden, New Zealand or the States telling me who should play at left back or what colours we should wear that I have no time for.

It's just wrong on so many levels.

The only rule for tickets can be season ticket holders, then sold at the ground before being available by phone or internet.

We aren't all season ticket holders (for a variety of reasons) but the people at the ground week in week out most certainly deserve priority over people elsewhere in the country.

You all seem to forget who actually will make up the rules from now on! MyFC "owners" (or whatever they claim to be this week) will not vote for a system that would effectively see them get none, or very few tickets.
Remember, even without MyFC involvement, Fleet took over 6,000 to Villa - am sure most of these would have been sold to people who were able to get to the ground...

Pat, I personally wouldn't resent it. My hope in that case is that season-ticket holders would get first priority and then the rest of the allocation would be assigned by a lottery. If I got a ticket, I'd be thrilled. If I didn't, I'd be disappointed, but couldn't resent the fact.

I'm only going to be able to make a few matches each year as it is (my first two or three will be this April). But I think most MyFC members believe that season-ticket holders should always get priority.

Well I have minor Autism and when I am not used to things I get a little nervous about it. And I am not used to traveling far from home without anyone I know. Getting down to Stonebridge Road on my own is easy as pie as it is not all that far from Strood. But going to Burton without friends is going to be a big step in not letting my nervousness hinder me in supporting the team as much as possible. But when I have done something once I am practically ok from then on.

Well my friend does not seem to know if he has got one day of holiday to use up. But I am going to know if he has one way or the other but Tuesday.
