BRILLIANT result, unfortunately I couldn't be there.... got the score from news - Burbridge scored in 24 min

also good news for our league position AFC Hornchurh 0 - East Thurrock 1

Staines (A) leading Leyton (H) 2 - 1 (latest)

Great result, good work the Blues

Good result for Leyton... could it be they are turning things around ....just as we get to play them again?

Roll on Saturday!

One of our best performances tonight. And probably Burbs best. Fantastic volley goal. Horsham didn't have much to offer; a shadow of the side "as seen on TV".

Was suprised to see Burbs start ahead of Billy after Billys recent performances, but have to say it worked a treat.

We played some great football in the second half; keeping posession for many passes which got the blue army going!

A thoroughly enjoyable night at New Lodge.

Well done to everyone, especially the Blue Army.

A goal worthy of winning any game, it was a great strike. A deserved three points with more chances created, I didn't Horsham threatened much at all. Poor referee who let a few challenges go in the first half and almost lost grip of the game in the second.

Saturday will not be easy, Leyton held Staines tonight.

But lets keep this great run going.

A very good performance from the whole team tonight and a deserved result. If fewer of those angled long balls to Bradley were over hit then the goal tally could have been higher. Hodges was superb and terrified their defence on several occasions and yet again Dorms was excellent. With the attitude the team now have I have no doubt that we will finish top five and join our neighbours in the move to the next level.

Wonderful effort from the lads ! I really believe Horsham did not know how to handle us as most of the play was dominated by us. Top strike from Burbs. Adeile (never spell right) was impressive as was everyone out there. Shame Bradders did not lay the ball back to Billy in the dying minutes as that would have been the icing on the cake. All that can be said is well done to everyone - It was a warming performance smile

On behalf of clarets everywhere I just thought it would be appropriate to take time out to thank Billericay Town FC for beating Horsham last evening although I wish to put on record that such help was, I'm sure, subsidiary to Billericay Town's main purpose....but nonetheless worthy of thanks....

I'm sure that we will do our utmost to reciprocate in the coming weeks....

What is surprising Peter is that someone on your board was stating that "if" it was last game of season and you needed us to beat xyz for you to gain automatic promotion then he would rather we lost crazy Thus sending your team into the lottery of playoffs! Oh well..

By the way, i somehow doubt our players went out there last night thinking about favours ! As i am sure your lads would not either.

I don't believe I've ever suggested that they might, Keith.P....

Indeed it was a ridiculous thing to say, and I said as much in a subsequent posting on our board (which met with no response - obviously words with 4 syllables are beyond the comprehension of the individual concerned).
Just keep producing those results, and we'll try and help you out as well. I'm sure you'd get quite a few Clarets along to NL to cheer you on in the event that you host one or more play-off games at the end of the season (provided one of them is not against us!).

Well done lads, great result last night. Looking very strong in every position now too. I think Ronnie has been solid in goal for us and kicked supurbly last night with the strong wind, along with the defence 4 clean sheets in 8. The midfield have been outstanding, thought Leon reacted well last night after being taken off saturday at half time and Billy and burbs have also played their part. Comeon you blues!!!

Definite contender for goal of the season by Burbs last night. Great performance and result (thought Hodges ran riot), and although the table is looking a whole lot healthier of late, I'm still very worried.

I can't see Horsham failing to get in the play-off slots, so we really need one of Hendon, Staines or Wimbledon to start cocking things up...and soon.

Squeaky bum time has arrived!

What do you mean "Hendon, Staines or Wimbledon to START cocking things up" finisterre?
They're all well past the starting stage I would think, with just a handful of points earned between them since Christmas. And long may it continue.

Here's the form for the teams in question:

2 Horsham 8 5 2 1 19 6 +13 17

4 Billericay Town 8 5 1 2 13 10 +3 16

5 AFC Wimbledon 8 4 2 2 18 14 +4 14

12 Staines Town 8 3 3 2 14 14 0 12

21 Hendon 8 1 2 5 7 16 -9 5

It's only Hendon who are really struggling at the mo.
