I think i would choose Smith over Trott and Eastwood as Smith has more experience at this level then Eastwood and Smith is a lot faster then Trott. We can't be messing about against Staines

experience would be better for this match as its a pretty important so i would have to say maybe Trotty for an hour , try and finish the game off while he is on then replace him with Louis for the last half-hour , he`s not the fastest around but he would be quicker than Trotty im sure . Jake looks a very good prospect for us but needs to be on the bench watching and taking in a game that will be full of action and end to end . And Jay was no where near the guy to get a booking . Up the Gate.

And Staines have just signed Francis (THE FRIDGE) Dukufrom Welling/Bromley.

 

I know he is a defender but built like a tank and very dangerous at corners etc. made my mind up-need someone like RT to play in the game or we will be too lightweight.

Ive seen Staines Play twice this season, and got to say there front 2 are as quick as anything.

Well I saw Staines last week. Not the same team as I remember in September having changed quite a bit. Seemed to lack a plan B but still up to thier good old diving tricks. Not as fast on the breakaway as last season. Still a good team though.

Personally I would go with Trott for experience, Louis as back up. Nothing against Jake - honest! - but if he isnt prepared to train (as several players have stated) then surely he cant walk in? It will surely cause problems within the squad and at this level is really not on (IMO)

Well that bit I hadn't heard Buzzgate I must say. Am surprised if that is the case that Trotty has brought him into the first team? As for Ian's comment re Staines will come guns ablazing after last nights result, there is a little matter of their game, and ours, on Saturday first so surely whoever Staines are playing should be worried about a backlash!

Alan, I think the players are somewhat surprised as well. Guess if we're winning these things get papered over, but if changes are needed this is one thing that will rile players.

Jake Eastwood all day. Lewis was not a centre back before he came to Margate and from what i've seen, never will be. (No offence lewis). Lewis is a good footballer but he lacks strength. I rate Jake and no its not because he's a mate because he's not. I think he deserves a chance.

Lewis plays best as a centre back though and at the start of the season he was doing a good job in that position with Dan Young.

Decision day in central defence today the.

 

Concensus of supporters seems to favour seeing RT at centre half; but i would be surprised if RT does select himself today.

 

Interesting to see who he choses out of Smith or Eastwood-i reckon he will go for Smith.

 

Never seen Eastwood play so frankly can't give an opinion ,excepting i'd rather see RT in central defence in todays game.Duku will be a biug bully at attacking set pieces and we need to combat him.
