maybe uncle you should have gave your contacts to the club.

thats fair enough then... they can do no more than explore the market place albeit I am surprised at the reasons given for not being able to supply....does anyone know who the other companies were...?

I have given the trusts details to my contact...probably too late but no harm done..

just one more question now then...does MyFc Ltd get a rake off from sales of replica kits and clothing......?

Seems that way.

Not happy about it from a purchasing point of view as obviously, I will buy one.

Would go for home 1 and away 2 although I really like the current Jako strip. I can see the financial and business sense of it though.

The bloke with the South Park avatar on MyFC should be banned from posting. I know that this is not possible but he really is a foul mouthed idiot with nothing to offer at all. His comments on the thread on there about the kits have been appalling.

As for Nike approaching MyFC, it seems from the original comment that Nike were approached by some MyFC members who then contacted 'da management' of MyFC.

Just thank god the kits are red eh?

The away 3 has to be a total non starter.

This will be the first of many decisions that we will have not really any say in, even those who are 'members'.

Not sure how much clout people who get on this board thing will have but I strongly suggest that some of us get involved to try and keep a bit of sanity and realism in this crazy ship that is the Fleet.

I had wondered something similar about the MyFC merchandise - I would presume they get a cut of anything sold on the MyFC website since they are the operator (which is why I wont buy anything from there) - but I would be interested to know more about the terms of this new deal.

I have contacted the individual concerned and asked him to refrain from posting the comments he has made on the forum. I have edited the comments to remove the inappropriate language. If he continues in the same vein then he will be banned for breach of MyFC forum rules.

I think it was a couple of MyFC members who work for Nike.

This decision was well flagged as a 'take-it-or-leave-it' decision on the forum (and I believe I even pointed this out here). Because of time constraints we were never going to have an opportunity to spend a lot of time debating it. I was, however, under the impression that the kit design would be open for suggestions. The two main decisions to date have been dictated by an NDA in the case of the club takeover and time constraints in relation to Nike. The majority of future decisions will not be on the same basis

The role of the MyFC board will be to implement the decisions made by the MyFC membership. As in the current instance, certain privilaged information will be available to them that will not be published publically (eg the financial numbers for the Nike deal or the detail of individual player contracts).

On the kit deal itself. I do not like the way Nike do business, but whether rejecting the deal on the grounds of business ethics is the best way to change Nike's business practices is an open question. I also do not like the idea that existing EUFC supporters are faced with another kit change. This has to be balanced with the fact that Nike are carrying all the financial risk (of course with the upside of significant profit) and the deal has the potential to generate £50,000 - £100,000 next season for the club.

I have two questions I would like answered:
(1) what will be the retail price of the replica jersey?
(I don't believe it should be higher than the current one)
(2) Given that both the home and away jersey are being changed in year one of the deal, what are the proposed changes in year 2 and year 3?

Once the takeover is complete MyFC's finance will be integrated into the club's. All money raised from MyFC members will be available to the club. The 'operator' does not make anything from the merchandise sold there and would not from any of this merchandise either. Indeed it won't be sold on the MyFC site but through the club online shop which Nike would run.

Not Nike. Anyone but Nike.

I detest them, I detest everything that they stand for and refuse to wear anything with their hateful swoosh on it.

It does look like a very good deal, but my conscience will not let me vote for this.

Put me in the 'No' camp.

My 13 year old son (who is allowed to make up his own mind on matters of conscience)likes number 2 for both home and away, but he is not a MYFC member and cannot vote. Ha laugh

I agree gaspode, i wouldnt normally go near a nike swoosh, but i may have to swallow pride for the benifit of the club, im sure there are plenty of companies that we would like to avoid because of their trading ethics.Im looking at the possibilty of 50k plus for the club next year plus improving our shop and sales infrastructure, then after that we have the chance to opt out of the agreement with them, hopefully then when its been a success another top kit company will offer us a better deal.

Just my take on the whole deal
