players are wearing jeans as the football shirt franchise means that their products are not designed to be worn whilst playing football. they're designed to be worn down the pub - leisure wear, indeed, the shirt you'll get from jjb or wherever will bear no resemblance to the one that the players will wear, designwise...

 

beckham was never going to get his 100th cap - the fa gagged capello from saying he wouldn't be in the squad so they could drum up ticket sales for a pointless friendly against mediocre opposition.

 

football fans being ripped off is nothing new from the premiership boys, but seems to me that the fa's priority rests with generating income to line the pockets of themselves and the overpaid coaches in the national game, or slinging cash into the black hole of the football academy, rather than re-distributing the wealth to back up their much vaunted claim to support grass roots football.

 

oh, and the kit is utter toilet. the star is quite frankly embarassing given how far removed the players of today are from the players who earned it.
