Statememnt today from t'wood on t'internet:-

Boreham Wood Football Club has issued a statement about the Club’s possible sale.

“Over the last six or seven years, we’ve had numerous parties who have claimed to want to buy the Club and take it to another level. Most have been dismissed as time wasters, chancers, ill informed or just plain nose ointments. However, one Company that was serious about its intent was vetted and dismissed as not being in the best interests of the Club, our Academy or our Staff as it involved a property company.

Each time this sort of thing happens it destabilizes what we’ve built and affects our very loyal Staff. As such, we decided some months ago to have the company re-valued. This has come in at £2.5 million. Which without blowing the owner’s trumpet, shows the job he and his Staff have done over the last nine years, in building the Club into a properly run business.

However, by making that public, it will not deal with the problem of people with big ego’s and small pockets, thinking they can own or purchase the majority share holding in Boreham Wood Football Club. So we wish to make it clear to everyone, if you’ve got £2.5 million pounds, if you also have further funds to take this great Club into the Conference League, if you can also improve our Academy and rebuild our Stadium, then feel free to contact us through Turner and Butler (www.turnerbutler.co.uk). Simply put, if it improves our Club we’d love to hear from you.

If not, please stop wasting our time, and leave us to get on with improving the Club and climbing the Non-League ladder, which we have shown we have a proven track record of doing so, year on year. This can only be done with help of our very loyal Sponsors, Staff, Partners and Supporters, not “wannabe” Football Club owners without the necessary experience or funds.”
