Youth Team v Flackwell Heath

Eugene

Recommended Posts

Flackwell came to Stag Meadow with a record of 9 defeats in 11 league games, so WEFC looked forward to a decent performance and 3 points. How wrong can you be ? With new management and a completely new team, Flackwell were the strongest and biggest team will you will ever see in what is supposed to be an Under 18 league.

In truth, it was the worst performance from Windsor all season. Defending; passing; and putting the opposition under pressure were way below the standard required, and the team were informed of this in no uncertain terms. Having said that, WEFC at their best could not have coped with the quality and sheer size of Flackwell, and we need to bear that in mind. I would be surprised to see anyone in this league beat this Flackwell team.

Mark Lines and Arron Fergus both did well as second half substitutes, but there were few positives on the night.

Two goals in each half consigned WEFC to a 4 - 0 defeat.
