i have been reading this forum for few months but have never felt compelled to interact until now. i thought that this was a forum for margate fc discussion not a vehicle for those craving self publicity to submit messages that are of no interest to me or anyone who has come on here for margate information. why should i waste my internet access time opening messages to read how you have interview someone of little interest and be constantly encouraged to go to your 'blog'? please stop wasting my time and post you dull ramblings where they will be appreciated. there might be a 'look and listen to me ' web site where others who constantly crave attention gather. i see from another message that you may not go to tomorrows game due to the weather. yet despite that fickle attitude to support the side that this forum is meant for you use it to promote your own little world. please stop wasting my time.

he may well do a lot for the club and if he wants to mention that on here then i would be more than happy to read it as it would be margate fc related. however i am sure there are loads of people who do a lot, if not more, for the club but do not expect us to follow every little thing that they do.

this is, is it not, a football forum?

Seriously, to me this is not much different to Ramsgate supporters using this forum - to me it just shows it's a healthy and active one, so personally I have no problems. There's still a choice as to which posts you want to look at, and I assume moderation would cut in if things got out of hand (too many ads, etc.). On that last point, was blatant avertising the reason that brilliant post Cookie put up of the footballing squirrel taken off?

Actually Ian, I think you will find that JJ, like a lot of us is a supporter of FOOTBALL. This means that he doesn't just take a narrow minded, rose-tinted view of one club. I myself follow the fortunes of several different teams, but due to various constraints can only physically support one at a time!!!

 

Also, this is a forum, if you don't want to go to JJ's site, DON'T CLICK HIS LINK!!!! Simple when you think about it...

Blue Barry - Ever heard of free speech? Besides, Iain Dale is a well - known West Ham fan. Blogging and posting is all about self-promotion. Don't like it, then complain to the moderator of this Forum.

I also find your self promotion via your link inappropriate for this forum.

Its fine on your profile page , but is it really correct to do so on the 'front page' ?

 

I am sure there are many business people who could equally add a link to promote their own businesses on here ,but chose not to do so.

The next thing is that other posters will add their personal facebook links to the front page and this forum to debate Margate FC will be devalued.

 

I did endeavour to send you a PM on the subject, politely asking you to consider if it was necessary; but it seems for your own good reasons, you have chosen not to accept private messages.(seems somewhat strange for someone on the fringes of the political arena and promoting free speech)
