Heard you know everything. Im travelling on the coach on sat but need to get tp Leicester after the game to go back to uni. Rail enquiries say there is no train station in Leig (RMI!!!). Do you know the nearest station to get back to Leicester? cheers Tom

What you mean is that you heard I work on the railway! lol <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

 

The nearest station is at Atherton which is around a mile away.

This station is served by the regular 582 bus service which runs from Atherton Central Station to Leigh.

Get off at Chadwick Street which leads to Hilton Park.

Return journey is again by bus number 582, running to Bolton.

There is another train at 18.27 changing at the same places.

Takes an hour longer though.

 

Miss that one and there aren't any connections to get you to Leicester on saturday night!
