Good luck to the Ursuline Academy youngsters.

The Ursuline youngsters (a lot of whom play for the Reserves) are through to the semi finals of the Kent Cup.

I am not sure whether the game is today or Saturday. Which ever Good luck lads.

The Semi-Final is this Saturday away to Harvey Grammar.

 

A Squad of 25 are in the Ursuline Academy inc myself,

 

Train 6 hours a week, led by Mark Weatherly, Neville Southall and Tom Hickman.

 

2 of your 1st team players, Matt Bowles and Aaron Quain have played a huge part in this Cup run, and we would love them to be able to play for us on saturday rather than Margate, but we arn't too sure whats happening.

 

A few Reserves.

 

Chris Lewis, Shane Brown, Chaz Albrecht.

 

A lot of Under 18s.

 

Matt Bowles (1st team aswell I know), Daren Clapton, Nick Argyrides, Kane Hemmings, Dan Hughes, Ollie Gray, Criag Kelly and Dan Gonzalez Bello.

 

So as you can see,, it's pratically a young Margate Side, all of the players aspire to be Non League footballers and possibly further for some, I will let you know how they do on the weekend!!

 

Today they have a friendly vs Chaucer in preparations for the game on saturday.

Are these the offspring of former Margate stars? Argyrides is not the most common name and as former defender John is still, as I am aware, involved in business in the Town (there was a front page story in the Gazette featuring him last year) I would be more surprised if it was not his son.
Hemmings is slightly more common a name but surely he has to be be at least related to Neville or Richard!
On a side note, Gonzalez Bello rings a bell. Is that the family that used to run Bar Barcelona?
