According to radio Kent (Monday) John Akinde is attracting attention after scoring again on Saturday. They say league scouts are queuing to see what he has to offer.

If things could have been different he maybe would have still have been here.

Good luck to the lad.I thought he looked a very decent prospect when he was here(from the little we saw of him that is) & now he's showing everyone just what he CAN do. He's young and skilful & I fully expect him to improve even more. I personally will be following his progress with extreme interest.

Big John is still very raw, and as yet the unfinished article.

What he does have in abundance, he uses to his full ability ie pace, strength, awareness of those around him, and last but not least, the knack of keeping it simple rather than over elaborating things.

The great news, (for us, at least) is he has just signed a long contract.

And Daish was asked “how much is John Akinde worth?” following another impressive display from the local star.

 

“Well, when he’s in full flight you could have three or four tugs of his shirt and it won’t stop him,” said Daish.
