Looking at tonights matches 5 of the top teams are playing each other

 

AFC Hornchurch (38 from 25) v Staines (39 from 22)

AFC Wimbledon (44 from 25) v Boreham Wood (31 from 27)

Horsham (37 from 20) v Ramsgate (39 from 26)

 

What are peoples thoughts on the best results for us tonight.

 

Obviously BW to beat Dons but what about the others.

 

I can't make up my mind about Rams v Horsham. I think maybe Rams to beat Horsham, who appear to be a threat at the moment, as I think Rams will fade as the season goes on. Also if Horsham lose it will put more pressure on them to win games. As for Hornchurch v Staines probably a draw would suit us. Whatever happens at least two top teams will drop points tonight. What do other people think?

I think Horsham to beat Ramsgate as realistically, Horsham will finish ahead of us with so many games in hand, so i've written them off as a competitor at this stage and assumed they will be ahead of us.

Probably better for it to be a 6/7 horse race than a 9 horse race and if we can 'drop' Ramsgate-thats one less team to worry about-plus we have a game against them,so Margate v Ramsgate is in effect back 'in our own hands' if Ramsgate lose tonight.

 

Slightly better chance of keeping up with staines as they have fewer games in hand, and we have a game against them to do some damage to them,so i'd also favour a draw for Hornchurch v staines

Hornchurch to draw with Staines is a good bet , both teams will be locking the door tonite and won`t let to much through , i think the Dons will edge a 1-0 win over BW and Horsham should grab a 2-1 win over the TOTS .

The 1st 2 places are going to be Chelmo & the Wombles but funny things happen and it might just happen you never no . All we need are the right results and its in our hands . Up the Gate .

I'll provide score updates from the Ryman Premier fixtures tonight.

 

Hornchurch v Staines (Draw)

Wimbledon v Boreham Wood (Away win would be nice! can't see it happening though!)

Horsham v Ramsgate (Horsham win please)

Although all these teams have all these games in hand they have to play them pretty much on top of eachother and all of them are only part-time teams. Last season we had a backlog of games and didn't do well overall and the players were looking tired, so this could happen to the like of Staines, Horsham and AFCW
