new to windsor and eton fc

hello everyone, im new to wefc and thought i would drop in and say hello. i used to be into premiership football but have got fed up with it so i decided to look for a non-league team to support, i live in slough but saw windsor for the first time away to marlow a few weeks ago, what a game that was 3-0 up at half time and we lost 5-3, ive been to stag meadow once since then, i didnt manage to get there on saturday, i was surprised to see us lose but hayes can be so unpredictable losing one week heavily and then winning the next.

anyway i hope to be there on tuesday cheering the windsor on

I have to say, if there are people who really care so much about their postcode, and whether it begins SL or WM...

 

 

it probably is better that they have some such obsession which keeps them off the streets.

Well depending on where 'Windsorian' lives in Slough, it might be easier to pop along to a game at Holloways Park than Stag Meadow! Always a warm welcome at the Park

thanks for the invite, i live in central slough, stag meadow is fairly easy to get to, but in all likelihood slough will be on the up in a few years so if i was really glory hunting then slough would be a good option(i was there when we were low etc)

what are slough fans like, a friend of mine said you used to get crowds of 1000 a few years ago, the game i went to at windsor was fairly quiet, berks and bucks i think so it was low attended.

i might try and take in a slough game too.

oh yes i forgot windsor are yet to play at slough,will many windsor fans make the journey.the only criticism i have of slough is that they always seem to big up their support but other than that they seem alright.

im sure a fair few of us will be making the journey we do genrally get good turn outs for away games and with it only being up the road there is no excuse

well we took 100ish to burnham new years day so i'd expect more for the slough game.

Well if the only criticism of us is that we 'big up' our support, then I don't consider that too bad. It's all we have left!

 

New support is always valued and welcome at Slough. And we are a nice bunch really, a lot of opposition supporters would say the same.

 

By 'friendly' at Taunton and Abingdon do you really mean 'blind drunk' after your train journey?

No sorry Woody. Apart from next saturday I can't see me going to any other Windsor games this season unless we get to the playoffs.

 

I would love to go to taunton but I've decided to go away instead. Get a bit of sun!
