Ricay 1-0 Wealdstone

An excellent result for us today and a deserved win. The game was nowhere near as pleasing on the eye as Tuesday's but then again it takes two to tango.

Wealdstone didn't look a patch on the side we had played at their gaff and they hardly threatened our goal. We had quite a few chances although you did begin to wonder if the goal would ever come.

Good to see Kerrers back and playing well, Hodgie was class and Billy again worked hard although I did feel he was a bit isolated in the second half.

Fine result which keeps us looking the right way..Roll on next week.

A good result, and I will gladly take the 3 points, but I also thought it was a scrappy match, and I was expecting a better performance from Billericay today, especially after our last two games, where we were playing 'great' football and I thought, on a role. I know Wealdstone were an awkward team to overcome, but the Blues are capable of a better performance. I also understand that not every game can be good entertaining football, however I think that with the quality of players we have, we can (and will) achieve much more.

Think it's only four points? To be honest I think all the play-off places are up for grabs at present.

A few weeks ago you'd have thought Staines & AFC were certs for the 2nd & 3rd spots if they couldn't catch Chelmo. But they're both in "self destruct" mode at present, dropping points all over the place.

Horsham have the games in hand to get right up there, but a gruelling fixture list may well take it's toll.

Anyone who can string a run of good results together now is in with a chance.

I think you're right upda, Heybridge will be happy to gain a point at New Lodge and will make it hard for us to break them down.

Our last three games have been phisically demanding, so with a weeks rest I think we will go into next Saturdays game a lot stronger than we were yesterday.

We expect both Macca & Blewitt to be fit for Saturday.

We were undoubtedly the better side yesterday, but a big well oranised Hardworking Wealdstone side limited us to few chances.

Hodgey didn't have his best games yesterday passing wise, but he was my motm, he frustrated them to the point of almost destruction, Another day, another ref and Wealdstone would not have finished with a full 11.

It was a good win for us, and another important 3 points.

Well done Lads.

I think that after the Tuesday game (which had been played at a fast fanatic pace) there were some tired limbs which probably contributed to some slackness at times. However, the work rate never stopped and i think Wealdstone would agree we deserved the points overall. Now i know it was not given but Billy's header across the keeper was superb, and on another day would have been a goal fit to win a game imo. Reasonably quiet game for Ronnie so suggests our midfield and defence snubbed the Stones out of it. All in all when you look at it 7 points out of 9 recently is not bad eh !

Heybridge will be another kettle of fish and one that the lads will need to rise to again..Keep it up lads !
