are we now doomed

We are if we keep defending like that!

It is a pity that the rummour before the game started about Daly going, because of money was not true, as he only put in 5 minutes of warm up with a few streches - how does he keep his place in the team with so litte effort on the field? Always slow getting back, calling for balls which he then fails to connect with which even last year he got to - time he went and we spent his wages on someone (or more than one)who wants to play and deliver the goods!

Lee Riddel did a good job sorting things out on the pitch and trying to lift spirits - however I think he was lucky to stay on after that tackle!

tbh i thought it was going to be difficult as bracknell recently appointed byron walton,so the players had a lot to prove, the thing that concerns me is bracknell have been here before and know how to get out of a relegation dog fight, they knew they needed to appoint someone with experience at this level, i have enormous respect for betts but felt at the time that he would be better working as an assist to an experienced southern leaguer.

have to hope that andover have lost, very bad day.

Not at all. We've improved in recent times so we perhaps need to look at this as blip. Bracknell will now be full of confidence and right on our tails so it will be tough.

The result was bad, and the performance was even worse. Where we end up at the end of the season will depend upon how we play from here on in--we can play ok, but whether we will is another matter. A few more performances like todays, in crucial matches, and we will be relegated as we won't win anything with the type of performance put in today.

as dissapointed as we all were today...we have to just get over this defeat and move on ...its going to be a battle thats for sure...playing so many new players today ..could not have helped however the sending off inspired the bracknell team as until. we gave the second goal away we starting to show promise. Its a result we are going to have to forget and move on we can not afford to dwell on this result... we have 3 home games and must pick some points up...

cheers chris s

Another poor display today. Usual story, cannot score enough and concede to many. Intersting to note how many of our remaining games are against teams in the top half of the league, comparing that with the fact that 5 of our 6 wins have been against teams currently in the bottom 6.

No, we are not doomed, but I would find it very hard to put any positive spin on the performance and result.

We were poor in the first half, but picked up well in the second. After Terry scored, we looked the more likely to go on and win, but ironically the Bracknell sending-off worked in their favour as they became more fired up for the remainder.

It was an absolutely suicidal ball from Abbey Nsubuga which set up their second. He was trying a cross-field pass but he sliced it horribly and it ended up with their scorer in acres of space. Abbey's head dropped from then on, and he was replaced minutes later.

From then on Bracknell were the stonger side and deserved the win.

Three home games in a row coming up now, and we must win two of them and hope for the best against Farnborough.

Nope, were not doomed at all but today's match we were not up for the battle, and if were not up for the battle we will be doomed.

Thought only Terry Davies and Dave Thomas were the only ones to come out of the game with real credit. I thought in a way we missed Lee Charles as a lot of people are quick to slag him off, but he holds the ball up well for us. I thought our midfield was shocking today and we badly missed the organisation of BC at the back.

At least 2 wins out out of the next 3 home games is a must, while sadly having to rely on Bracknell or Andover slipping up...

Disappointing today, I thought we could go on to win it after we equalised, but the sending off worked in their favour and motivated them and they ripped us to shreds in the last 20.

Thought that Terry did ok on his return, took his goal well with a bit of luck and kept trying to score and find the other players. Also thought that Meddie and Dave Thomas did well too, but overall we didnt play that well for 75 minutes.

We were very lucky to not have our own player sent off during that incident.

We need to pick ourselves up for next Saturday, we need to get something from 2 of the 3 home games to come, and hope that Bracknell do not pick up too many points.

First the positives:

The new coach who seemed to instill discipline and a positive approach to the pre match warm up - a delight to watch.

Terry Davies, giving 100% and scoring a good goal.

The negatives:

All the other 9 players outfield players who had absolute shockers.

Steve Daley for turning up late when all the other players turned up on time.

im still not convinced of this 5/3 at the back system tbh

dont want to be too unfair but the #9 up front really didnt show much at all or at least enough in this match. surely Landy or Windsor could have come on

how we managed to turn what could have been a bad moment for us (ridds taking the guy who was clear through down) but eventually resulted in them going down to 10 into a defeat i do not know

could be a big blow to confidence but the players have to put it behind them and grab the points

davies is going to be very vital. salaka is the perfect partner up front for terry i would think if he is fit that is

unfortunately the whole match was lost when Abbey tried something that was so not needed at that moment. we looked like winning after going 1-1 although 1-1 would have been fair enough result i guess

Not doomed yet. BUT we wer outplayed and outmuscled and outfought by 10 men in a proverbial 6 pointer, it really was a terrible result. Felt sorry for Abs yes he did f*** up, but did it really call for his goalkeeper to run 50 yards to give him abuse and then call for his substitution a number of times, it was real sunday league stuff. Meds played well until the last 10 mins as well.

Agree with Marcus here. Everybody started slagging Lee Charles off when he did the same sort of thing to Stan earlier in the season. Why the need to run 50 yards to have a go. Can't find any justification for Barney doing this especially as he is assistant manager.

Probably repeating what everyone else has said or is thinking, but at 1-1 we were on top and I really thought we'd win it. Unfortunately the turning point was their man getting sent off as it is alot of the time when a team goes down to ten men they play better. Still hugely disapointing afternoon especially as they play Newport next (I think) which after beating us their confidence will be sky high and no doubt they should win meaning Bracknell will be 1 point behind us with three games in hand, not looking good...
