Tickets... -

Let your minds wander - its now end of April, Liam and the team have played themselves into a position only the most optimistic could have fore-told... The nirvana of the play-off semi-finals...

In the two-legged semi, Fleet end up with Torquay. Tickets are now at a premium, this is the biggest thing thats happened to EUFC since the close run title charge with Canvey & before that the Villa game...

It becomes a ticket only affair. And who gets the tickets?

Obviously, season ticket holders get first call, plus maybe current Fleet Trust members... After that who?

Usually the next choice would be those who have ticket slips from recent games - BUT, (and yes its a big BUT) the new owners decide that 'their' fans deserve some of this glory, and decide that MyFC owners have first reserve on tickets... who decides that this is wrong? Put it to a vote - oops, MyFC own 75% so that's a waste of time...so the proper fan is left out in preference of the MyFC owner.

Cant happen? Why not?? Change it to a cup final appearance a few years down the line - who do YOU really think is going to get the sacred Wembley tickets? There are currently 27,000 'owners' - and yet only 25,000 tickets go to the FA Cup finalists - wonder where the genuine Fleet fan will watch the game?

Well?? Hapy to see this shot down as it wasn't my worry - but that of a Fleet fan who has only been going for 15 years

Need to create a priority:

Season Ticket Holders who are MYFC members

Season Ticket Holders

Trust Members who are MYFC members

MYFC Members based on seasons subscribed and original joining date.

Fan lottery

Exemptions..fat bearded Australians.

Didn't put straight Trust Members because such success might see locals joining the Trust just to get Play-Off tickets rather than pay 35 quid to add to MYFC efforts.

By the time we are at Wembley I would suggest that MYFC would own Ebbsfleet 100% and the Trust would not exist???

Exemptions at that stage...fat bearded decrepit Australians.

Season-ticket holders with MyFC membership over season-ticket holders? Seems a bit tough. I can see why you're making the point from a financial viewpoint, waggamick, but some season-ticket holders have been here since the 40s and 50s and might just not fancy MyFC membership.

Was discussed last night, but all that does is benefit the thousands who went to Villa declaring their undying love for Fleet and have never been to a 'normal' game. There are quite a few new fans that have made the effort to see a game from overseas - no need to penalise them.
I liked WaggaMicks reminder - that eventually (was it in 3 years?) that MyFC will own 100% and the TRUST WONT EXIST. Ahem, yes, well, lets just see what the fans who turn up week after week think about that shall we!

I would actually partly agree with this. Tickets go on sale at Stonebridge Road for two days - after that they are then also made available on MyFC website. I would however take 100 (if needed) to be allocated to international visitors so the they can book flights as soon as possible.

The priority for the club and MyFC should always be to encourage local people to attend games.

So people like my partner and myself, who go week after week in wind, rain, snow etc, come last in the pecking order, well thats very encouraging, when i could have spent £35 rather than the hundreds if not the odd thousand or so,that I have over the years,Myfc get a priority ticket, well I must say that makes me want me to come back NOT. I think loyalty tickets in programes after the season ticket holders priorty, is the only and fairest way myself, It cost me more than your £27.50 you donated to the club, per week let alone per year

Agree with Busta

I would like to encourag emore fans to get down the fleet and benefit the team , but we must have a fair policy in place. I didnt get a season ticket this year as I was going to be out of the country for 3 months , plans that have now gone belly up. I would be seriousley annoyed if we did make a final and I didnt get a ticket. Only Missed Oxford away (legal reasons) and Exetr in the Setanta shield (medical reasons) this year and dont plan to miss many more.

On the other hand we need to recognise those who come great distances. I dare say the powers that be will sort it out.

As for the fleet trust being bought out. Maybe you should look at what we have done in the last three months and the extensive background work going on by Jessica and co to help with the take over. Remember , the Fleet Trust voted in favour and are a group of loyal diverse support. We have the club at heart and want as much progression as MYFC.

Good point Stu..loyalty should be rewarded.
Call them Category A Season Ticket Holders for 10 Years or more
They go in front of Season Ticket Holders with MYFC membership.

All arbitrary.

There is already something in place.

Season ticket holders get 6 priority vouchers with their season tickets. I have mine in front of me right now.

For big cup matches loyalty vouchers are usually issued in programs for three or four matches leading up to the sale of tickets.

After that it is a free for all.

I shouldn't worry though we won't be having any full houses.

I am not knocking the Trust and the work they have done.Far from it...I am a great fan of Trusts running football clubs and I am a paid up member of just such a trust.

Nearly all sport..Pro or otherwise with the exception of the newly founded A-League and Basketball in Australia is run on a Trust basis.

I don't see myself as an owner of a club but rather as a supporter.

I only mentioned the 100% ownership (sans Trust) because I'm sure I read it somewhere in the early outlines of the strategy to be employed by MYFC in the long run.

I might have misunderstood the intention.

I'm quite happy to keep the Trust involved.

Why didn't you buy a season ticket?

because I miss about 4/5 games a year with being away, its would not pay me to do so, as It would be the cost of two season tickets, so double the amount of games in effect.
