it makes you think were have all those 7000 fans that went to villa gone or the fleet supporters of about 1100 or more that attended the oxford game gone?

its a shame that we the same crowd as dartford or in some cases they get more and there 3 leagues lower and play slow football

you could understand if we were 16/lower in the league but were 9th and last year we had the best season in the confrence ever.

there is 27'000 members of myfc so at least 500-1000 must live in the south east of england why dont they come and watch and to be fare most of the time the football is good if not brilliant. we deserve a big crowd for once and the players do . so come on every one lets push for 1400-1750.

thanks,

Kieron.

Yup - it seems that way. Ye bought huge amounts of Fleet branded stuff straight after the initial annoucement - lets hope now its 'official', there will be another rush on merchandise. However, the fact that the next vote is about new kit (new manufacturer = new kit) means that only the rich and foolish will be buying the kits now...

Incredible isn't it - Fleet give away tickets and struggle to get people thru the gate - MyFC charge £35 to join a website, and they travel from all over the world to watch!!

Just to let people know that we are in the process of putting together a travel plan to facilitate getting MyFC members to games. We have had contact with a leading national transport company and are looking at organising and co-ordinating trips to Stonebridge Road. It will take 6 to 8 weeks to get sorted. The intention at this stage is to begin with approx. 200 people (excluding those who choose to make their own way) attending rising to 500 by the last game of the season. If we get a positive response from MyFC members we will have structures in place for the strart of next season, that hopefully should mean a consistant turn-out of between 500-1,000 for each home game.

As Yorkshire Fan said above - the objective is not to use the MyFC membership to bolster the crowds - that has to come from the local community to ensure the long-term development of the club. Attendance by MyFC members will be supplementary both in financial and vocal support for the team.

excellent news... just as an afterthought though I assume that this joint venture will be non beneficial for any entity other than the coach company and the fans..?

ie; no commission paid out to third parties for the volume spend...

How can you vote on any matters if you dont come along and see things for yourself.

Does it matter? The end result will be more clicks on the turnstiles - ie more money to EUFC. If the travelling owners end up paying a small supplement to some 'entity', thats their loss!

I am currently drafting a proposal to put to the membership that would include organising regional groups of approx. 500 MyFC members per group. It is hoped that these groups will participate in 5-10 coach trips per season to home games. It is likley that members living closer to the club might be at the higher end of this scale to compensate for likely low number from further distances.

Coaches will travel from major urban centres with pick-ups on route if necessary - although we are hopeful that we will have enough take-up from each starting point so as not to make stops necessary. an average of 10 coaches per season from each group would average out at one game per season per member and would add 1,000 to the home attendance figure.

At this stage it is impossible to gauge the level of interest - but hopefully it will be positive and we should have a better idea over the coming weeks.

As far as I'm concerned ANYTHING that gets bums on seats (so long as it's not mine!) is worth applauding - it doesn't matter how they get there or whether they pay over the odds to do it - we need bigger gates and I applaud the motivation in doing it.

John O Groats surely? With Ian Botham driving.

Have to start at Wagga Wagga to pick up Mick, via the good ol' US of A for AFF, Friejose and RSheard, across the Atlantic and into Co Clare for Dom, over to northern England for York Fox...

Don't know. I doubt free tickets would be given out for Arlesey at home do you? Looking forward to Tuesday. Hope we give a good account of ourselves.
