Now that MYFC are the new owners of ebbsfleet its possible that they may all decide to turn up to see their new purchase at the same time.We are playing burton this week so that should attract about 1,000 of us and maybe 200 from burton, this will not leave alot of room for MYFC.I know its unlikely but its possible,if just 10% turned up it would be canvey all over again, or worse. Do we have any contingency plans in place?,like extras to man the turnstiles.Remember there are 27,000 of them,im sure theyve only been waiting to get the keys before turning up.

I'll help you, Stu. As much as I'd love to see it happen, I don't believe it will -- not this year, at least.

And PatMan, you're right. A playoff final will bring a lot of members out of the woodwork. I won't begrudge them that, however, as long as the regulars all get tickets that they want.

Well I joined MyfootballClub yesterday, so at least I can have a say in the future of the club having lived in Gravesend for 10 years and then relocated to South East London. I still follow the team when I can, and tomorrow was a game that I earmarked to attend, not sure if I can make it yet but my aim is to try and get back to Stonebridge Road soon.

I think a crowd of around 1,500 tomorrow would be good.

From what I've seen on the forums, there are about 40 MyFC'ers turning up for a pre-match drink. If you double that to cover the others who turn up and add a bit, suspect there'll be about 100.

Think it'll be a struggle to hit the 1400 LD was asking for. Really hope we do though, would be a very encouraging sign.

Does local support increase much for this sort of game?

There was a thread on the MyFC forum that I'm going to resurrect. It was a suggestion for as many as possible to attend the last regular game of season (excluding play-offs etc.) at the Oxford game on April 26th. People from around the world were talking about booking holidays to visit Stonebridge Road! I have to declare an interest - it's my birthday and the more there to buy me a beer the better ;-)

Oh yes, the Oxford game. Originally timetabled in the fixtures for Saturday 3rd May but which has had to be moved to Saturday 26th April because the Conference didn't realise again (see similar error in 2007) that it clashed with the play-off plans. Meaning, of course, yet another mid-week trip to far-flung Forest Green. Football administrators - don't you love them? (Actually, no).

CG - reckon you're probably about right. Looking at the MyFC NCBA thread about who is attending tomorrow, I would anticipate anywhere between 75-200 MyFCers including their family and friends.

Actually, I think the 12.45 & 5.15.p.m. kick-offs of Premiership/F.A. Cup football live on Sky/Setanta/BBC are having far more of an impact on Non-League crowds than anything else this season, particularly the 12.45. games.

I have noticed that Non-League crowds in general take a big dip whenever Arsenal, Spurs, Manure, Chelsea & Liverpool are playing at those times.

I would estimate that EUFC have a hardcore of about 800 supporters for whom EUFC comes first and a Premiership club (or Charlton) come second, so they would go and watch EUFC instead of staying at home to watch their favourite Premiership club on TV.
However, I reckon there are about another 400 or so locals who support one of those 'big five' Premiership clubs first, but they will go and watch EUFC if their Premiership club is not live on TV just before or after an EUFC match.

There is no doubt about it, people do not want to spend all day at a Non-League ground watching the 12.45 kick-off in the clubhouse, then watch their Non-League match from the terraces, then go back in the bar again to watch the 5.15. kick-off.
In most cases, the missus wouldn't let them for a start !
The same applies even if they live within walking distance of the ground to be able to get to and from home before and after the game and watch the two games on TV.
People haven't got time nowadays to watch football non-stop from 12.00 mid-day until 8.00.p.m. at night.
Time has to be found on a Saturday for shopping at superstores, doing D.I.Y. and playing Nintendo Wii with the kids.

Tomorrow it is only Mansfield v. Middlesborough on at 12.30, so that will add another 300 on the gate. Shame that Chelsea are on at 5.15.
Burton are doing well and should bring a few more than other clubs, while I reckon maybe an extra 50-100 MyFC'ers than normal might attend now the takeover has gone through.
I will go for 1,300 tomorrow as the weather is looking good.
If ManU v. Spurs had been on tomorrow at 12.45 instead of Sunday, I would have gone for 950 !
