i am currently in talks Weymouth and Grays about possible matches in the next month or so.

 

Weymouth being next Saturday, if the weather holds out we have training this Saturday if not i may try to arrange a mid-week training session maybe at Meopham Leisure Center i will let you know.

Not sure why this should stop a game if both parties were interested. Teams have A and B sides that play against each other and it might actually improve relations if the two teams met. It's not really a case of us versus them if a match was to be arranged, and there's nothing stopping MyFC players wanting to join the supporters side after that...?

Personally, I wouldn't have a problem with playing the MyFC team, but I can see where Mike is getting at. But the problem is that the EUFC supporters team has virtually a full team now, and I cannot see the MyFC players wanting to join the EUFC team if there's a full team already.

 

Though I think they should re-name themselves to EUFC 'B' team.

 

Think MyFC are playing Burton Albion Supporters on Saturday. This is what I've heard.

It shouldn't really make a difference who plays who - but I can see it causing problems if Fleet Supporters AND MyFC both want to play the opposition team...

Quite right Slarti - it's just those of us MyFCers who are intending to meet in The Plough before the game - no real football involved - do you think that at my age I'd even make the 3rd Team at No. 9 (in my other persona). The last time I kicked a ball in anger was in a 6-a-side game at Carrow Road in 1995 and that's where I intend to end my career!

Thanks, Slarti, for straightening that misunderstanding out. The last thing this transition needs is invented problems. We all know there will be enough bugs to work out of the process as it is.

 

Wish I were going to be at Stonebridge Road with everyone else Saturday.
