Redesigning your kit

clowntown

Recommended Posts

The next vote MyFC members are being presented with (within the next couple of weeks) according to the website is over a change of kit suppliers and a redesign of both home and away kits. I am off to knock up my suggested designs now to submit to the vote. I am thinking Red with a big white sword motif (ie Charlton logo) for the home kit, and bright pink (to challenge homophobia in sport) for the away one. We've taken over a club I didn't want us to take over and, as there's nothing I can do about it, I may as well have some fun with it.

Not one in North Kent that's for sure.
I just wanted to be given the choice. Of the two other clubs MyFC had reached the stage of being able to make an offer for, the one with smaller debt than G&N would have been my choice. Had we been given a choice. Which of course we weren't. That would have been too much like democracy. All Hail Chairman Willbrooks.

Your problem is clearly with MyFC but you go ahead and f*** about with the club to your heart's content because you didn't get your way.

Clearly a selfish tw@t or a troll.

I suspect the true reason for your negativity has just emerged & now remember your much earlier posts on here.

You are a Charlton supporter. Support them. Forget MyFC & Ebbsfleet. Don't renew next January.

Oh & thanks for the £27.50.

I am making valid points in a clever and stylish way. Who do you think the MyFC membership are. A quick glance at the forums on MyFC (which they have since taken down lest anyone complain about the vote) will tell you that. All the talk about recycling, about finding ethical non-sweatshop suppliers for kit, fairtrade coffee in the tea hut, etc will tell you all you need to know. G&N is now in the hands of the global politically-correct do-gooder, and making your team wear a bright pink kit "to counteract homophobia in sport" is EXACTLY the sort of ill-conceived dimwitted idea they will come up with and vote through. Just you wait and see.

Where were you clever or stylish?

If you don't like it, stick to going to Charlton where there's no atmosphere and you can't fill your stadium even when busing people in for virtually nothing.

Intellect, like beauty, is in the eye of the beholder.

I have no interest in blinding defending MyFC as I've seen for myself what sort of nonsense can be posted by individuals. Equally, I am confident than your scaremongering is merely that and any such preposterous propositions will be swiftly voted down.

You can come back and claim £5 in a year if I'm wrong.

You may not approve of Ebbsfleet but this is the wrong attitude. Thankfully your (stupid) vote will be cancelled out by the many other sensible ones. That is one of the best things about the MYFC Seup.

Hardly. I have made no secret of the reasons I oppose the G&N takeover (not wanting a reinvigorated G&N competing with Charlton for supporters in new Thames Gateway homes) and have stated those on here numourous occasions.

I am also a democrat. The idiocy of the MyFC leaders astounds me. Had they presented us with a choice of three clubs (G&N, the "bigger club with more debt" and the "club with little or no debt but ground issues" they mentioned in the deal summary) everyone would have got excited and membership would have increased TENFOLD. Fans of the three clubs would get all their mates to join to vote for/against their particular club, the lumpen proletariat would pay up just so they could vote - the same millions of numpties that spend more than £35 apiece voting on X-Factor, Big Brother, whatever. Net result: MyFC has enough funds - MILLIONS - to either totally transform the victorious club small scale Abramovich style OR to buy all three of the clubs. That's what I would have done if I ran MyFC, but then I am a lot cleverer than most people.

But not clever enough to identify the great MyFC swindle before you parted with your 35 quid to buy a club intent on moving into Charlton's sphere of influence.

Better luck next time, eh?

If I had access to the gold bars, you would have won them hands down Stu!

More pixel waster than clever, you should have worked out that once the lumpen proletariat (you're at Uni doing an Arts Degree...I'm right aren't I?)don't get the option they signed up to vote for they will drop their subscription...a destabilising factor to say the least.

Why not ask for your 35 quid back and use it to finance your club of choice?

I can only call to mind the words that have made John McEnroe famous.

Our friend from Wagga Wagga guesses that you are at university. I went to university at a time when a far smaller percentage of the population was given the opportunity. When I left I had an honours degree in English Lit & a way above average alcohol tolerance. I don't believe that either of these achievements in any way entitles me to consider myself cleverer than most people. Nor do I hold political views which would ever lead me to refer to my fellow citizens as "the lumpen proletariat."

I think you've proven yourself lots of things, but I wouldn't include clever, any more than I would self-effacing.

Clowntown,

Reckon you got off on the wrong foot(or big floppy red shoe)... a seminar with Steve 'Peachey Keene' Long might help.

Steve "Peachey Keene" Long

Over twenty years of clowning has taught Peachey Keene many valuable lessons on proper clown behavior. Not everyone loves a clown! Join Peachey for his humorous and heartwarming reccolections that entertain as well as teach you how to get out of those "touchy" situations.

Peachey's spelling, not mine.

Never really 'got' clowns.

Never been comfortable with midgets.

Midgets dressed as clowns....aaaaaahhhhhhh!
