An FAing disgrace

Recommended Posts

What are the FA doing? A Havant and Waterlooville player received a 1 match ban that originaly ruled him out of the Liverpool match, Havant have since arranged a league game before the Liverpool game to clear fixture build up, the league game would then be the match to serve his ban, but the FA have said that Havant are playing the game to clear their players ban so that he can play at Liverpool and have now extended the ban to 2 games, this is surely illegal for the FA to do this, they are contradicting their own rules and showing themselves up to be completely out of touch with our national game, the FA call it 'The Cup Of Dreams', they should back this up and reverse their decision and let this player serve his ban before the Liverpool game, which at the end of the day, he should be doing according to their rules!

No they don't!

Some time ago the FA said that they would look harshly on teams rearranging fixtures to use up a suspension in front of a big match.

So they are at least being consistant.

possibly, but rearranging a match just days before the biggest day in the club's history is a little odd don't you think?

The players are going to spend the whole match making sure they don't get injured and miss out on playing at Anfield rather than concentrating on the football.

I know I would have been very suprised if we had suddenly rearranged a match just before we went to Villa.

The problem is the banned player gave interviews to the press saying the game had been arranged specifically so he could get his ban out of the way and play against Liverpool. Whether that's true or not, it's a silly thing to tell the press, so he's really brought it on himself to be fair.

Surely the F.A. are a rule unto themselves on this matter......

Ask yourself this.......

If Sir Alexandria Funguson 're-arranged' a postponed game which would then clear a match ban for one of his players, would the F.A. take the same action ? - I fink not.......

The F.A. are currently studying video evidence of Sir Alexandria making alleged obscene hand signals to the fans.....

That's probably the end of that, then.

They only brought it forward a week - hardly essential to fitting their games in. They cheated, they got caught and the cheating was all rendered irrelevant anyway.
