Baghdad Bob....

Recommended Posts

well......thought a new 'more light hearted' post would be appropriate to take over from previous more serious 'war' related posts..... as I sit here watching the most amazing and historic scenes of the american forces taking over the centre of the city.......there is little or no resistance and hopefully ...blessedly.....the thing is all but over and no more lives will be lost.....just 21 days.....awesome....terrible...brutal.... but awesome.....

we probably will never see the 'Saddam Gang' again....(if they are still alive).....lets hope that this is true.......

So......where is the Iraqi Minister for Information.....'Baghdad Bob'....seems as though he's 'done a runner' in the dark of night.....good luck to him I say.....

he stood alone facing the press and speaking to and rallying his people whilst all the other cowardly back stabbing 'Saladin Warriors' lurked about in underground tunnels like rats....I actually grew to like him.....(he'd make a superb non league football club manager would he not....such blind faith)

There are no doubt desperate times ahead as the lawlessness of the 'aftermath of war' takes a grip on the cities of Iraq.....but 'Bob' will always be for me the face of these mostly third world ...childlike and uneducated people that populate this great historic city......rightly or wrongly.....he stayed at his post to the end....he stood alone and he kept a smile on his face......he knew that the 'game' was all but up and he bravely faced the world's press each day...he was funny and I think he knew that he was funny......

'quote'

''I am not afraid and nor should you be afraid''

to a reporter yesterday....he knew that there was to be little more fighting...he knew it was nearly over.....

I hope he gets clean away..... with a few quid in his suitcase and a pretty young belly dancer in tow.... and I also wouldn't be surprised to see him with his own prime time TV chat show in due course......probably on the BBC................!!!!

goodluck 'Baghdad Bob'.......there's always a job for you at the ol' Stadium mate......cor blimey....every time we lost he'd convince the fans that we'd actually won......

In fact he resembled my ideal chairman for Basilricay

And yes you could get to like him but where you touched a raw nerve was in the comment that wrote off Arabs as childlike and un-educated trust me they are a mixture of the streets plus high intellect and business acumen that leaves most westerners standing

Yes their street people need state assistance in getting off the floor but "childlike" never I promise go there and work with them

Lets get back to the 'Conspiracy' theories !

Baghdad Bob is an American stooge, has been hidden and will appear when he know it's safe and take over the running of Baghdad.

Marvellous what C.I.A. money can buy !

nice one chaps.....

you could well be right there BJR.......the yanks love a 'chat show host' and Baghdad Bob is definately prime time TV material.....

Personally I think that Wyatt Earp will eventually produce Bin Laden as the new saviour of Iraqi Democracy......Idi Amin has plenty of time on his hands in the Saudi Capital....perhaps he could go in as an advisor.....even team up with the Hooked Cleric.....

....he needs a new job and it seems as though they're a Cleric or two short in Iraq right now....

talking about CIA involvement......interesting to see this Iraqi guy...(name escapes me at the moment)....already running an election campaign ............hhmmmmmm..........

must go and see that....I understand that Queenie Cherie is to play 'Tinkerbell'...

apparently she needs the money for the purchase of a 'couple of apartments' in central Bagdad for the boys....Peter Foster has told her they're 'going cheap'

as to the Lass's tattoo....hmmm........I think we need a clue..................!

Mandleson was going to make a guest appearance as one of the ugly sisters but apparently they couldn't re-write the scripts in Portugese.........! ....

maybe ali baba and the forty thieves would have suited him better.......
