As you will recall this game was postponed last year and to avoid hassle with who's got what tickets on a tuesday evening, all attending the match will be admitted free of charge. Turnstyles will still be used for attendance counting purposes. Those that asked for and got refunds last time and are intending to attend the game next tuesday are asked please to purchase 50/50 tickets to the value of.

Thank you.

Enjoy the game, its a big one for both teams. laugh

An excellent idea - let's hope that the local paper gives this the publicity which it deserves, and attracts plenty through the gate.

Free admission has been tried, with a great deal of success, at the Arena speedway this year - they increased their gate substantially - but to my knowledge this has never been tried before at a senior football level.

It is an experiment which deserves to succeed.

Eastleigh did it earlier this season in Conference South on a Tuesday night against Thurrock - got just under 1000 (probably over double what it would have been). Accrington Stanley also did it for a home game last year in League 2 (Torquay I think were the oppo), attendance was well over 4000 but back down to the normal 1400 or so at the following game.
