At our game yesterday, our own PA man mentioned the quality of the half time choices from the other night and seemed very impressed!!

Makes me laugh at some grounds, as it seems they have one CD (or probably LP) from the seventies or the eighties that they've been playing over and over again for 20 or 30 years! When we were at Tonbridge for the Trophy game, the kick off was delayed by 15 mins and you could almost sense the PA bloke getting excited that he could now play the whole of his 'Greatest Hits of the early 70's' LP. Certainly a year or two since i've heard Betcha by golly wow by the Stylistics that's for sure

Actually N, I was thinking the same.

 

Last time I was at the Wombles ground, I thought the PA announcer was the best in the league and his choice of music was more "Kiss 100" style, I couldn't see him liking a opening track to a Alice Cooper album.

 

Still, radio jock...no wonder he was good. Left us would be amateurs in the shade imo.

No, the current PA man is Mikey T (he does the internet commentaries if you've ever heard them). Chris Phillips has a Saturday afternoon radio show now i believe, so is generally unavailable.
