Braintree's New Ground

This new ground obsession is catching. It's like the nuclear arms race all over again. One club does do it to give themselves an advantage, but then everyone else does it too, and we're back at square one.

 

I can see that these grounds are probably more comfortable for fans, players and officials, but I do lament the passing of the historic grounds.

The article does not seem to say how much the ground will cost or give any clue as to how it will be financed. I'm assuming there will be commercial 'bits' to pay for the stadium itself.
