Australia Day Committee 26th January

Listen you blokes!

It's timely that the vote result tomorrow will see a large contingent of Australians having a direct (albeit distant) interest in Ebbsfleet United Football Club.

I think it only right that EUFC celebrate our National Day at the EUFC v Burton-Albion match on Saturday.

Of course there are the obvious:

Raise the Australian Flag...NO...that's the New Zealand flag....get the other one that looks like that.

Boxing Kangaroo flag as well would be a nice touch.

Australian National Song...Advance Australia Fair...reference to our historical White Australia Policy...before the match(don't worry too much about the words...no-one over here knows the second verse)...and Waltzing Matilda...an iconic tune about a suicidal, sheep stealing vagrant...don't know why it's so popular over here?...at half time.

Other touches to 'make our day':

Decent meat pies (Four 'n Twenty Traditional Footy Pies)...not those weird Pork Pies and lamingtons with Billy Tea available in the canteen.

Carlton, Reschs, Tooheys New, Tooheys Old, VB and XXXX beer on tap...don't bother with Fosters..no-one over here drinks it.

A BBQ with burnt chops and raw snags would be nice but for the sake of authenticity, you'll have to find someone who's pissed to cook it.

You could dress up...off white with vertical arrows is our traditional costume.

Of course, to make it as realistic as possible, any women at the match have to be good sorts wearing a bikini top and tight shorts and parade past the blokes every 10 minutes, pretending they don't want the inevitable attention.

See if the Australia Day committee...and yes you will need a committee....we always have them...that way you get to blame someone else when everything goes [****!!****] up...might hold a 'Coooee' contest and how to pronounce Wagga Wagga competition (Wogguh).

Looking forward to your support and contributions. grin

Yellow Tail of course!

Then again, in the true spirit of Oz Day, have both!

By the way LH I feel that you would be the ideal choice for Master of Ceremonies on the day.

Your avatar shows a striking resemblance to a notorious Governor-General of Australia...Sir John Kerr...as does your love of alcohol in its many forms.

I hope you accept the position.
