That's good to hear.

Congratulations by the way Josh for the Pats getting to Arizona. Now they better bloody win, I'm betting heavilly on them. A strange contrast in matches yesterday. The Pats were the better team against San Diego but they still got a little lucky. Brady and Moss are normally their star performers but yesterday were not doing it so the defence had to step up. I think SD have a young team though and will be back. Meanwhile the other game, which I'm sure you didn't see as you were too drunk, was littered with errors, it was almost like neither team wanted to win. Twice NYG had the chance to score the winning FG and twice they fecked it up. If you ever get the chance to see the fumbled punt return towards the end then you should, abosulte comedy of errors and will one day appear on one of those "hilarious own goal" type videos. Did you go to Foxboro or were you still in England?

How are you going with those Dolphins tickets for next season?

Next time you're over pm me and we'll have a pint.

Oi, Allstars, I didn't give my permission for you to turn this thread into another Wisconsin Wasters Monkeybowl discussion. Recant or I'll delete it!

By the way...what is a Grammar School?

Where do they fit into the scheme of things?

I know you have Comprehensives (I think they're the equivalent of our State Schools) and at the other end of the spectrum, Eton, Rugby, etc (They are called Greater Public Schools over here).

I suppose they are the equivalent of our Private Schools?

Eliteism.

In theory it is a chance for anyone who would benefit from it to receive a higher standard of education based on intelligence rather than wealth.
As you would expect it is total blx.

What we call Selective High Schools.
Based on the idea that smarter kids need better education.
More funds and more experienced teachers.

Logic would have it that those resources should be devoted to the less intellectually gifted hopefully avoiding the negative social consequences of illiteracy, poor numeracy and general lack of employable skills. eek

Ponces? What kind of language is that for a moderator? shocked Just watch your back son - & pick that soap up while you're at it. grin

Actually, I quite liked the Indie article - nicely balanced on the range of opinions within MyFC & the dedication of some of them to the cause. It also addressed the whole concept sensibly, rather than taking the cheap, knee jerk, "What are they bonkers, it will never work," approach of much of the rest of the press.

Last day for voting on the takeover tomorrow, which is probably why the paid up registrations are picking up again today. Coming in at over 10 an hour at the moment.
